POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

Hmm, well I don't know about that. You won't be going until September so I'm sure there's a chance a room will open up.

Hm. Now I looked at my ADR's. And we will be at Chef Mickey's. At 8:20. So we will have to skip Spectro, but I'd love to meet at the POP. :)

That sounds great! I am getting so excited about the meet! Cant wait to finally meet everyone!

Yes of course. Jenny, Eva, and Glenn. Jenny would be me. We arrive the 21st at Midnight, so we'll be tired. But we will be at MK that day so I suppose we will be at Spectro/Wishes. So we where the glowy stuff at MK also?

:)

Nice to meet you Jenny! Like the name ;)
You could wear your glow stuff to MK also if you wanted...I don't know if a group is planning on meeting up at MK or not for Spectro/Wishes, but we will all be by the pool for the glow-in-the dark party later. If my family makes it to Spectro, we'll probably have some glow in the dark stuff on the kids so we don't lose them :rotfl:

I thought you would like the name :)

Yes, we will definitely be at the glowing party.

And, just so nobody gets confused, you are talking to a 15 year old. My mother is also a DIS'er.

Hi peeps! My oldest sister called today and now she wants to go with us to disney!?!?! Thats great and all except she also wants to bring our 9 year old niece (other sisters daughter), I sooo want them to go but how hard is it going to be for me to redo our ADRS for 6 people instead of 4? She also wants to get a room at POP by us, but I have been checking all day and ALL the values are sold out. What do you think the chances are of something opening up at POP for free dinning?
Boy, just when I thought all my planning was done, she decides she wants to go-I dunno about this.;) My husband is concerned because this sister tends to be REALLY pushy and bossy and he cant stand to be around people like that, so we'll see how this goes down:thumbsup2 however my neice has never been to disney and has always asked to go with us when we have went in the past (her mom cant afford it, single mother with 4 kids) but her mom would never let her go before but she is willing to let her go this time so I will be soooo excited for her. anyway what do you all think about redoing ADRS and chances of a pop room opening soon? tahnks for letting me vent:)

Hi Farrah! Oh, I feel for you  having to think about re-arranging all of your ADR's and trying to find another room for your family...but how wonderful that your neice would get to go to WDW for the First time :cool1:
I still wish I could have gone when I was a child...that's why this trip means so much to me :) I think trying to add 2 more on to your ressies may be difficult, maybe you can get two tables...one for four, and one for two :confused3 I hope everything works out for all of you :wizard:
Let us know how things go!

Jenni

Got that, but thanks for the heads up! Is your mom Mrs. Piglet I presume? I think I saw her user name on the other POP thread.

Welcome Jenny! Can't wait to meet you and you parents. It's too bad my MIL cancelled, my oldest SIL is 14!

Thanks piglet, mickeymouse and sunshine........My husband finally agreed to letting my pushy sister coming along, but only because my niece has never been and he has been her father figure most of her life. He wants more than anything for her to get to experiance Disneyworld-it will be her only chace to go Im sure. So anyway, i guess im gonna continue trying to get a room at POP for them and once I do that then Ill work on ADRS= UHHHH! Have a great Tuesday everyone!:yay:

Yes, you may be able to get the room at Pop if you are relentless like me! LOL! When I booked our Sept trip with free dining, Pop was sold out....so we booked at AS Movies. But, I kept checking every other day or so....and some spaces at Pop opened up! So my advice is to keep checking all the time and you may get lucky. Good luck! :thumbsup2

WELCOME JENNY, GLEN & EVA    You are now officially on the list of Party people..:dance3:

Good Morning/Afternoon Everyone!

We love the water parks.. I even get MY big butt on the slides:rotfl:

We really enjoy the water parks too. I like TL better then BB because I'm too much of a scaredy cat to do the one slide that drops...I'm so scared of heights & I could not get the courage to do it last time & I know I won't this time either.

I also think it is fun to walk around Downtown Disney at night and also the Boardwalk. Watching all the people, the smells of the food, browsing through the shops, and just seeing all the activity going on is kind of fun.

I am SAD! I have yet to get to any of the water parks OR the Boardwalk. We will be going to the Boardwalk on our "date" night this time! I really want to see the dueling pianos...forgot the name of the bar :confused3

Is it to late to join this party at the POP? We will be there 9/21-10/6.

What time will this party be?

Welcome Jenny!

To save yourself problems I would definitely let your sister know that there will be times when you will want to go off on your own. Let her know that you have a schedule and she is welcome to follow or not. If she knows up front hopefully it won't become a problem during your vacation.

  I got my MNSSHP tickets in the mail today   that was fast, I just ordered them via internet last Thursday :wizard: We are all set to see the Headless Horseman on the 28th:cheer2: That is the coolest thing ever !!:scared1:

Just found some good advice on another thread regarding shutting off the motion sensor on the a/c:

On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. You might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours. We found that it stayed on bypass for a couple of days at a time. It was great to come back to a cold room or not wake up in the middle of the night in a sweat again.

My DH has to live like a Polar Bear so this is great advice for us :yay:

Thanks for the sensor info!

We have yet to see a water park as well. Sometime I'd like to see TL, but I'll wait until the kids are older!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Farrah - If I were you I would go ahead and start trying to get a few 6 person ADRs set up. You don't have to cancel the ones you have yet and then you have a better chance at getting times you can live with. Let us know how things go! We are a party of 5 and my sis is still up in the air whether she is coming or not, which would make us 6. I don't think she will come, but I am dreading fixing the ADRs if she decides to join us :scared:

On the positive side of that, I called Sunday evening to try to get some better times for some of our ADRs. I was not able to get anything different for Saturday the 22nd, but I got a couple others that are pretty good.
Now I have 2 things scheduled on 3 of my dates... I plan to figure out which we want to do and cancell the other time. Here are our "double ups"

9/24 Whispering Canyon 2:40pm
Boma 8:30pm
9/26 Coral Reef 3:20pm
Whispering Canyon 8:50pm
9/27 Boma 7:30pm
Coral Reef 7:50pm

We decided to try for late lunches on some since we weren't getting great dinner times... Not sure that I won't continue to tweak them... but those are better. I think we will go w/ the three earlier times.

Have a great evening guys!!
