you can always pick up a signal.... if it has secured access you have can't actually use it... otherwise you would be able to use their access without a password....

My guess... and it's just a guess as I just got a laptop too so I haven't used one at the world.... is that disney's will be password protected so they have to give you the password and possibly an ID to use so they can keep track of your usage.... but we'll see if anyone has acutally done it yet

You are right on the money Tanya.. Disney makes sure that you can't pick up a signal We paid the cost last year and it isn't to bad as long as you don't do it every day. I did it every third day and started in the a.m so I could still use it the next morning (like 8a.m to 8a.m)

There is only one place that I know of at WDW where you can get free unsecured WiFi access...at least it was a few months ago.

If you just need to quickly check your e-mail and have a car, you can drive over to Disney's Wide World of Sports. They were testing open WiFi there in February.

DH (the Rose grad) took laptops.. Disney is secured, no swiping internet service (and yes I feel insulted that they nickle and dime us, values no fridges.. like the HIltons... but go to a cheaphotel chain... its free. fridge free.. all for 69 a night..

dh can explain, he's not here... but he has firewall protections on our wireless signals, our neighbors do not... some hotels we've checked in when you log in a screen automatically appears asking for the password, and if you've paid for it... you have it...

I thought one moderate hotel in their lobby you could get free wi fi (they were going after conventions )

I am working this weekend on what I hope to be the final Itenerary... which I am sure i'll change but one can hope... that way I can start on the park Itenerary for each day.... We arrive on the 16th, so we are at 2 months, I think around 63 days???

I'm at that annoying part of planning where there is nothing else I can really do right now.

Too early to pack, the entertainment times aren't accurate yet for Sept., can't check weather or road construction, and I have all my itineraries and ADRs in place.
And my ILs laughed at me when I gave them an (abbreviated, no less) itinerary and a handy packing ideas/ general info about WDW document.

They don't get it. I wouldn't even bother, but they say they are just going to follow us around, so I want to prepare them in advance for our type of touring. I will not put up with complaining. If you say you are doing it my way, then do it my way. Otherwise, do it your way, and be quiet about it.

I would be perfectly happy to let them sleep in and find their own way around, as long as they understand that they have to show up for our TS, or they will not be able to get in anywhere.

Dh keeps saying "Why are we doing this again?" It's his family, and originally partly his idea. Sigh.

Sarah, when I went with my parents, I would call them and tell them, we're up and we'll be leaving for the busses in _____ (45 min... 20 min...) and if they werent ready I would say, "why dont you call me when you get to the park" I made sure my dad knew how to use his food credits - and I'd go over it with him (he's not big into Disney so I sent him to the race track - with rain, he was there 4 or 5 days - Best trip EVER to Disney!! But, he was on his own for lunch, and he preferred it - I made them buy a refillable mug on their first day, took them on a tour of the food court, told them how to use the CS credits - same for the donut/snack credits...

and of course I made a lot of adr's at resorts (Cali Grille, Ohana... ) so dad didnt buy a park ticket for every day we were there....so we'd go back to the resort for an afternoon rest, pick up dad and go to dinner!!

Now mom was a different story - that woman gets lost - she wanders away - you'll be walking from Muppet 3D over to Backstage Food for lunch, and mom would be gone... and she had a cell phone (but didnt know how to use it!! ) It drove us nuts!! But dh and I always in line made conversation, and mom's name came up... We had several allies in the park pointing out mom in Epcot!!

It was stressful... so dh took us back the following year, just us... and now we go again... in SIXTY NINE DAYS!!

Oh hey y'all I bought more glow gear at the card and party outlet store!! LIme Green lei - that glows!!

I'm so bummed - our card and party stores don't have anything that glows at all. I coundn't find anything at our Walmart either. Any other suggestions?

I haven't had too much to do up here so I have read & reread all of my Disney books about 5 times already. Farrah- I SOOOOO understand! MIL and I had a HUGE blowout a couple of days ago. I am so glad right now that she cancelled her trip!

I have been trying to fix some of my dining and itinerary since we have to cut a couple of days. I did get a 6:20 at Crystal Palace on the 28th!

The last one I think I saw on the custom boutique board was the adorable pooh outfit you did and a cute safari one! Nice job! Hi Gang. Just checking in again. It seems the only time I can "dish" on DIS is in the wee hours of the morning. So I thought I'd leave a message for you all. I'm sooooo done all of the planning. ADRs are all made, gigantic dogs are booked in the dog hotel (costs almost as much as POP and I am not kidding), Photopass group is organized and CD is ordered. Now I just have to wait and it's killing me! Is anyone else like this? Seriously..everything is disney, disney, DISNEY! I just ordered some Disney pins from Ebay for my DD7 to add to her collection and for trading. They arrived in the mail on Friday and on Saturday...suprise! YOAMD pin lanyards!! 2 of them!!

On the topic of MILs...bless you folks who invite in laws along on your vacation. These are the people I'm vacating from! Same goes for my parents! I swear I don't know where you all get the patience. I know your hearts are in the right place and I have to say I admire your kindness and generosity... and downright courage.

I can't believe how close we are getting! Back when I was 208 days out I remember seeing others who were going in 65 days and thinking "Imagine how cool it will be when WE'RE that close!" :lol .. now my perspective has changed though and I still feel like UGH 65 days .. still I know there's many people out there who wish they could say they are going to Disney in 2 months!

Inspired by Tanya90210 I decided to start a pretrip report last night. Now my head is swarming with all the possible things I can share with you all!

Hi, guys!

I called yesterday and added Park Hoppers to our tickets, made my final payment, and fixed some of my ADRs. I tried for better times on some of them but wasn't able to get anything. We had double booked (one lunch and one dinner) on a couple days, so I cancelled the ones we decided not to go with.

I am getting excited!!

Glad you guys mentioned pins from Ebay. I had looked awhile back, but decided to wait. I better get to it now though if I'm getting any before the trip. I started my collection last trip and want to add somemore for trading this trip

Hi He is doing really good. He turned 8 months old on the 12th, so he is growing up fast. He's crawling around like crazy & already trying to walk. My little babe is getting big & starting to act more like a toddler & not so much a baby.
