I am sooooooo happy I have been spending the last week waiting for DING fares for my area DH and I are flying from Sacramento, Ca. and the kids are flying out of Portland Ore. When I first booked the total airfare came to $1600 . Then I found out about DING's from Southwest .. I now have a total of $680 in credits.. and refunds

For anyone that is intrested and wants to get some relief from the parks for a few hours on sunday night the 23rd my beloved Bears are playing the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Having dinner with the wife and kid sending them back to MK (magic hours that night) and sitting down somewhere that has cold beer and a tv. I know there are some others from chicago on here, and maybe we can even get a coboys fan so we have some one to make fun of.

so if anyone is intrested or knows a place we can hang out besides espn zone let me know!

My husband and Godson (16) might just take you up on that.. DH hates the Cowboys My godson loves them . Actually.. DH just likes to find an excuse to drink beer ...and lots of it I am a Raiders fan

I'm checking in also. Been busy with work, and pool parties. We are getting so excited. it is less than 3 months. It will be our first time flying (mine and Jenny's, DH has flew many time). I am getting really nervous about the flight, but looking forward to being at WDW. If anyone is at MNSSHP on Sept 30, we have a meet going on there too. Can't wait to glow on SEPT 22.

We'll be there! Is there a link I should be checking out for the meet? Since it's unlikely we'll make it to the glow party , I have to make sure I spot some DIS'ers somewhere, or dh will never stop making fun of me for practicing my Fockering.

Southwest rocks! We're going out of Portland, OR, too, only on free tickets (3 out of the 4 of us so far, but hoping (and desperately spending on the SW VISA card ) to get that 4th one before the trip.

Believe me, we've tried. Not your house payment, obviously, but our own. Durned mortgage company won't take CC payments. And you can't get SWA credits for charges made by convenience check. Yes, the lengths to which we'll go for "free" tickets.

But it doesn't have to be your last trip to POP--plenty of DVC'ers make extra trips outside their DVC ones, especially when things like free dining come along. And the more of those you book, the more free tickets you'll get to get there. I'm sensing a vicious circle...

I've managed to keep this trip a secret from my DS 11 and DD 7 for 4 months! If you knew me, you'd realize what a feat that is!! I hope to keep it a secret until we are at the airport. Not quite sure what my strategy for that is yet. Anyway, I've had no one to share in my excitement except my DH who is as calm and low key as can be. Opposites attract I guess I've been busy organizing a photopass share and trying to secure a position in a frig swap (no luck on that yet). I'm really ready to just be there...and to be glowing! All of this planning, researching, budgeting...it's a little intense. If "a dream is a wish your heart makes", then I need a defibrillator!! More later...

How exciting !!! I love secrets but suck at keeping them . We suprised ouR kids one year (they are now 20 & 23 so it's been awhile) it was sooooo much fun .

Hi everyone I just needed to share this..........

I made my final payment yesterday!!!!!! Im sooo happy to finally have the trip paid off. Now I can start saving for more important things like SHOPPING MONEY!

GREAT JOB on keeping the trip a secret from the kids! I kinda wish I would have done that but its too late now. My 7 year old doesnt even act excited...my 4 year old however is super excited (but its his first trip too)

Time sure has flown bye! I cant belive how close we are to having the time of our lives at DISNEY WORLD!

Hey everyone - I've been mia - sorry! BUT I just read about 8 pages here to try to catch up!!!!! I need to kick it into high gear to finish planning this trip out!!!

Are we gonna share our itinerarys??? Mines not done yet..but i will when I'm done.

I'm still in for the 22nd - not sure about the 24th.....are we meeting by the pool????

I was looking at fridge swapa & photopass swaps too....& can't seem to find one to fit for me either.

We're surprizing the kids too!!!! It's me & my friend Dana - We're each getting our girls early from school on the 19th.....& heading off to the airport. While yes going to Disney will be a HUGE surprise (my girls have went the past 2 years)...the REAL surprise is once we get to the airport & the 4 girls see EACH other! Our 7yr olds are best friends & will just scream once they realize not only are they going to Disney - they're going together!!!! The older girls (13 & 11) will be happy to have someone to be with as well...just not quite as excited as the younger ones. I'm excited too 'cause now I will have someone to drink around the world with me at Epcot!!!!

So any big plans/events/changes you guys can bring me up to speed on?

Morning Sister !! What a wonderful trip you have planned, I wish I could see your daughters face at the airport... make sure you have a camera ready .

The plan on the 22nd is to meet at the pool.. some are arriving earlier then others. Me and mine won't be getting there till 10ish because we are going over to MK to see the parade first.

I am bring the cooler/cups and other stuff so I am either going to have to meet up with someone who will be at the pool earlier of leave it at the bar for one of you all to pick up.. I wouldn't want you to have to wait till 10 to get your "GLOW's" on

Who is going to be at the pool early??
