We're checking into Pop in 5 days (Sunday morning!!!! ) and it would be an amazing surprise to see a fridge in our room! I'm crossing my fingers, but if there is no fridge I won't be unhappy... after, we'll be at WDW!

We check in Monday and will have a styro cooler with us...hopefully unnecessary. This is our 7th year in a row at Pop and have only had a fridge once (2012) so for us it's no big deal either way.

Great news, thanks for sharing. A fridge is a must for us with DS's food allergies and restrictions. We aren't there for 3 months but when they said "at least" four months to replace I got nervous.

Disney never said "at least" four months (with or without quotation marks). It could take up to four months to replace refrigerators in the 20,000+ affected rooms across the country http://www.wdwinfo.com/news/General...ound_in_Disney_s_guest_room_refrigerators.htm

Yikes, that would have likely had us paying more and staying mod or offsite.

Why? Before refrigerators were standard in any Walt Disney World Resort rooms, they were available for rent for a relatively nominal fee. Refrigerators only became standard in deluxe and moderate rooms a few years ago.

Someone posted on a different thread yesterday that the pillows were currently being replaced at Pop, and the boxes they came in look like the "fridge" boxes at the top of this post.

So far there seems to be no confirmation of fridges going into the rooms at Pop...I've been lurking on all the fridge update threads and consistently, everyone is saying "no fridge".

DW, DD & DS checked into Pop last night. They are in the 60's section and they do not have a new fridge. Just a note on the old one.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but those boxes are NOT fridges. I am here now and I saw first hand what was in them - new bedding. They are comforters and pillows. Saw them unloading/redoing the rooms in the 60's and 50's today.

So...fridgegate is still on. Sorry, guys...

I don't think it did. We got new pillows in our room, but the comforters look the same - not sure if they replaced them or not. If they did - they are the same. If they didn't - then I have no clue lol!
