Is construction currently underway on the Legendary section of Pop Century? I can see from some of the airel pics that it looks like the foundations have been poured, was just wondering if they stopped working on it altogether for now.

Tyler, I really think that website had excellent pictures. Not really a feel for the room, but I'm assuming it is exactly like All Stars in set up. Those show great decor. Thanks for sharing that website.

Thank you!! I was going to try and upgrade to a moderate hotel this year, but I think my kids (and me ) will enjoy the pop century much, much better! I heard some people call it "tacky"...but I just think it looks like a whole lot of FUN!! Not to mention more magical!!!! Now, how much Raisin Bran can I eat before March to get my free night using the Kellogg's Kash?

Construction for the Legendary section has been put on hold. Not sure when it will resume.

Instead of having a separate food court, and gift shop, it's now combined into one. Sort of at least. When you walk into Everything POP, you're in the gift shop. It's very open, and spread out. Walk further, past the Gift shop registers, and you'll be in the seating area of the Food Court. Walk through the seats, and you'll be in the food area. It's an all in one area, but they are somewhat separate. (they will have separate registers)

One thing you have to keep in mind. Pop Century is not fancy, it's not elegant, but it's also not tacky. It's brightly colored, very whimsical, and yes, a whole lot of fun!! Kids will LOVE the theming of this resort, and I have a feeling Adults will remember thier childhood, and love this resort as well.

What do you think of putting the gift shop and food court together? I understand what you are explaining, but don't understand the point.

I have never stayed onsite, since I grew up just 30 min from Disney, but not that i am a non-local, I am really looking forward to doing the whole tourist thing.

I plan on bringing my DD (2 1/2 in Feb) for a week in Feb (2/7 - 13 i think). I was really thinking about ASMovies b/c she'd love the big dalmation really. But now I am convinced to do the PC. I agree Tyler, you NEED a commision. LOL

I'll keep my eye out for the bus driver named Tyler, so i can thank you!

One thought - the rates typically go back down 1/1. If you're staying past 1/1 you might want to see what the rate is. If it drops, then you have the option of making 2 ressies - one for the holiday rate and one for the non-holiday rate. Might save you some money.

Thank you for the response Guess I can't get the $49 rate but I did make 2 reservations! I learned a lot hanging around these boards I thought $127 was high but the $68 rate for the next 3 days took a little of the sting out, lol! We are looking forward to the Holidays too, I hope you enjoy your trip!!

This is weird... the boards are not working right for me...

anyhoo... yes, there will only be one bus stop, similar to how the All-Stars have it. When the other half opens up in a few years, it will have its own bus stop.


As for interior room shots, there were a few pictures on one of those sites. You just had to scroll to the side using the triangle arrow.

I've got to be missing something here With there being only one bus stop, would this mean that hundreds of us anxious tourists will be attempting to get on a bus at one bus stop? Seems to me that there will be quite a wait in the lines!
