I currently have reservations at HIFS for 13 nights (WOW! I can't believe we're going to WDW for 2 weeks) at the entertainment rate of $76 per night. I also made ressies at POP with the AP rate of $49. If we stay at POP we'll be in 2 rooms so the rate would actually be $98. What would you do - all nights at POP, all nights at HIFS or split the stay between the two? We have three young children, one that is only 5 mo old.
Does anyone have any info on the laundry facilities at POP? Where are they located?

Laundry is near 60's building-asyou step out of main building it is to the right. Pool side bar is real close. It looke adequate. POP is so new and clean, it would be my choice.

I would do the two rooms at Pop. You will have four double beds (everyone gets their own) and two bathrooms, two hanging areas, two tv's, adequate drawer space, and a nice door between. Disney transportation (good when some want to retur to the resort and others do not) AND PC does not share buses. I would do a grocery stop and get a couple of syrofoam coolers for the week. Get water, sodas, juices, breakfast items, snacks, fruit, etc. . Parmalt milk wokrs great (since it doesn't have to be refrigerated until opened) I heard of people buying a small 4 cup coffeemaker for less than what a mug costs. They do have them at Publix. I haven't stayed at HIFS, but did do the AS in two rooms with Dh, myself, 5 yo Ds and two teenagers and it was very comfortable. I would pick a down day in the middle of the trip and do the laundry then. Just hang out at the pool while it's washing.

Don't forget to pack your medicine cabinet!!!

Well, I'm kind of biased towards Pop myself... lol

We have three laundry facilities - one at each main pool. (50s, 60s and 80/90s)

Sorry to differ with Chip 'n Dale Express, but at the price you have at HIFS, I wouldn't change. The resort is about a 3 minute drive to the gates at Magic Kingdom, so it's close enough for a quick trip back to the resort for an afternoon rest. When we stayed there last, in a kidsuite, we had 3 t.v.s so the kids had a choice of which t.v. to sit in front of even though each had the same cartoon on them. Every morning my DH would get up early and go to the FREE breakfast buffet. He'd eat and then return with a huge amount of food for all, at least 3 trays full of eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausages, fruits, milk, o.j. , and cold cereal. When we were finally leaving for the parks we would grab some extra food for snacks. Lunch and Dinner was free for the kids too. I can't imagine how much I saved on food alone on that trip. They have some great evening activities, kareoke, bingo, dancing, face painting, all very family oriented. Be warned though HIFS will spoil you. You'll wonder why Disney can't match the service.
