If you can request a bldg when you call to make reservations, let me know. I am going in March and when I called to make the reservation they told me they noted my preference but could not reserve in a certain building. I always got the same message when I stayed at ASMo. If I am doing or saying something wrong, please share the tricks. thanks

Preferences are usually honored. You can ask to be in a preferred building, for about $10 per night. I'm crossing my fingers, but both prior trips I got my preferred building. good luck!
