Pop Century Booked....

What is going on at Pop Century the first week of March? I know, I know, it's Mardi Gras but really the ENTIRE resort is booked for every night when most other resorts have availability.

Hoping to find a room at our favorite winter spot.....

Cheerleader, dance and gymnastics competitions that time of year. They stay at many of the Value and Mods. I also think it's Spring training for the Braves too.

Yeah I don't know what's going on with availability these days. For weeks I've been trying to book February 7 to 11, 2019 at any of the three all stars. Not a busy time of the year. No availability. There are almost 6,000 rooms between the all stars and I just can't believe that every single room is booked.

National High School Cheerleading Championships are happening at Disney then ESPN WWoS.

I was curious (I'm leaving Feb 6) so I checked trying various dates. It seems it's the weekend (9/10). There was availability 4-8 and 11-on. Gotta be that Cheerleading Championships (8 to 10)

If you can't get into Pop, I enjoy spending Mardi Gras at POFQ. It just adds a little something extra. But I wouldn't give up - check at the cutoff for package cancellations without penalty and again at the cutoff for room only cancellations without penalty. I would go ahead and book a back up though if you are serious about going.

Also, be aware that, if you are using Safari, there may be availability that you cannot see. Try calling WDW to be certain, or use a different browser. I have had a problem for quite a while with no availability showing in early Feb even though resorts do actually have rooms available.

What Babsy said^^^ It is quite busy during March because it is the month many sports groups hammer down south for ESPN competitions and with Mardi Gras break, it is sure to be busy and booked up. I was at Disney during Mardi Gras and I saw people in LSU gear EVERYWHERE. It was quite funny actually.
POP is also one of the most popular value resorts too.
