Hi All,

We booked our Disney vacation for this summer (yay!) and decided to stay at Pop Century. We have never stayed at this resort before. We purchased a preferred room with the Summer Meal Plan. Can someone please tell me where best locations are so we can request it?

A little bit of info, we are bringing our daughter who will be almost 2.5 at the time. I am not sure if we should go for a ground level room due to having to bring the stroller or should we go for other floors as I am a light sleeper. I do see that there are elevators, so it wouldn't be a big issue with the stroller.

Are any of the 80s and 90s rooms preferred? It seems like most people like to stay in the 70s. (I am guessing because of proximity to the pool?)

Sorry for all the questions. I looked at past threads and some were either outdated or 100s of replies long.

Thanks!

WELL, you have 70's, 60's and 50's.

50's may not be fully renovated by summer so I would not choose them. I'd rather have a new room and rather not be around the construction if it's still happening. Really no cons to these rooms normally, but I would avoid until I'm sure they are all done. Keep an eye on the POP Century Renovations thread.

60's should all be done (they just started Bldg 4). Some have nice quiet green space views, great walk to AoA where you'll love the playground just over the bridge and their food court. You have to walk the whole resort, awesome photo ops. Close to POP main pool and main hub. The only con for me is the trek from our car to the room, we tend to bring a couple loads of stuff (suitcases, computers, cooler) if longer than a 4 night stay.

70's is a great location to everything. The only con for me is those rooms are all facing the some of the busiest walkways.

I have stayed in 2 buildings: Building 7 because it was close to the lake, so my friend and I were able to walk along the lake on our way to breakfast every morning, and building 8 because it was close to the main building and the bus stops, which helps when time counts. As far as I know, both are finished being renovated now.

OP is booked Preferred. There are no preferred rooms in 7 or 8.

Thank you all so much! Still debating between 60s and 70s, but leaning more towards 60s because I'm such a light sleeper and would rather avoid the busy walkways. Although, I like the decor of the 70s way better! Hopefully the trek to the buses won't be that bad with our little one.

i would pick close to transportation and upper floor. You don't really want to be near the elevator though because a lot of people use them. To me, being close to the main hall and bus is more important than a view. And all the rooms are the same, so theme wouldn't be that big of a deal once you are inside!

Thanks, so would you say 70s over 60s then? 60s looks to be a bit further. We would definitely need to use the elevator bc of the stroller.

60s is not much further! Either would be good. If you plan to use the pool, go for 70s.
