My mother uses insulin, and she needs to freeze her ice pack in order to take her insulin home and keep it cool. I know there are no freezers in the mini fridges at Pop. Any suggestions? Also, are the fridges cold enough for insulin. Thanks.

You could bring some ziplock bags and use the ice bucket while in the room to chill insulin and may freeze ice pack if you get enough ice

Bell services has a freezer that you can take your freezer pack to the day before you leave. I too have medication that needs to be kept cold and we were going on the cruise...Bell Services had no problem with putting the ice pack in the freezer - mine was small enough that I put my name and room number on it, and they gave me a receipt to pick it up.

I would not trust the resort room fridges with insulin. Too many people have had it ruined. My DH uses a FRIO for insulin when we travel. I suggest your mother look into those.

Enjoy your vacation!

Just an idea... my son has Type 1 and whenever we go on a trip, we take iceless portable soft insulin coolers made by FRIO. They are activated by water. And they are wonderful! Not too expensive, and most drug stores carry them. Otherwise, you can buy them online. They are lightweight and come in different sizes. Enjoy your trip!
