We stayed at the Pop Century from 11/10 to 11/13. While the theme of the resort was well carried out... (and maybe just a little tacky
) The resort is really for familys with kids and.....There were A LOT of kids everywhere, most w/out supervision... DH got kicked like 5 times by the same kid in the pool before we finally gave up. (this was at 11 at night and the pool was packed)
I didn't really care for the way the food court was set up. You had to wait in line to order your food, then wait in another line to pay for it.
The transportation was probably the biggest drawback for us though. We left the magic kingdom 1/2 hour after the park closed. the line for the bus back went all the way back past the three all star resort lines and one other one... it was bad. we were in that line for nearly an hour. After a long day of walking around, standing in a very slow moving line was a little much for me. The transportation in the morning was just as bad to the magic Kingdom on early entry day. For the other parks it did not seem to be as much of an issue.
Housekeeping was great, they left us a cute flower basket made of towels and little roses in our window.
The line for guest services allways seemed long, so make sure you get express check out so you don't have to wait twice!
The resort was very compact, so there was not a long walk from anywhere to the main building.
We would probably not stay here again, even though we enjoyed our stay. The resort was clean and the staff was friendly, but it really was not my cup of tea.... DH loves the POFQ, so we will probably go back there if we can't justify the price of a deluxe resort.

The super soap weekend probably was the reason for that)
It is rather tacky, but I guess that's where we have to dig down into our spirit of fun!!
