Hi, I have been looking at pictures of these resorts and I know that my daughter would love them, so I was thinking of staying at one for my daughter. I was really looking forward to POFQ however as we are know planing to visit new york to go shopping, which is not the most fun thing for her, I thought it would be nice to make the Disney trip extra fun for her.

Advice to make up my mind please? :goodvibes

ive only stayed at pop but my kids loved it, the theming is great and the pools are brilliant (the hippy dippy pool area is brilliant)

Cant compare as we have only stayed at ASM. It is not somewhere I would go back to. Yes its nice to look around for an hour or so but out of all the places we have stayed (see list below) ASM room was the most basic of them all.
If I was to stay onsite again it would be a moderate hotel (POFQ looks nice) never in value catagory again, but I would rather have a nice room than fancy pool.

Stayed at ASMo last year and loved it, have Pop and POFQ for 2 days time, I'll post reviews when I get back

I would say POP.

POP is newer, cleaner, and has more of a Mod feel than a Value.. the food court is excellent, as are the grounds.

I personally wouldn't stay at As... but it's down to personal choice.

POFQ would still be a nice resort, it might even help your DD wind down at the end of day, if she sees more of Disney she might never want to leave the pool area! JMO but I think you'd be better in a mod, but POP is absolutely fantastic all the same.

Hi

We stayed at ASMo and we liked it, but would not stay here if we were able due to family size now.

Neg

1) The rooms are basic, but I kind of expect that with a basic resort
2) Transportation was hell. I mean hell. We had to share a bus with all three resorts on several occassions. Imagine how big a line was when all 3 resorts had to wait for a bus every 15-20 mins. It was pathetic. We were the only resort that had a ridiculous line. Why combine all All Star resorts on one bus??? Did not make sense and everyone was furious at this. Never again would I stay at All Star due to this alone!

Pro

1) Toy story. Loved the toy story theme. Big buzz and woody was great. As you enter into Toy Story you go through some big gates and feels real. Great themeing loved it. Pity the transportation let it down so much.
2) Fantasia that was lovely as well. Opposite food court

I have never stayed at Pop. WE are unable now due to being 5 of us. I have to say Pop never appealed to us for some reason. I am sure you will make the right decision.

I agree with this. There's plenty of characters and theming elsewhere in WDW and from the pictures i've seen there are some cool mardi gras gators (fake ones *lol* around POFQ ;)

All Star Music for us every time.
Yes the rooms are basic, but we are only in them about 7 hours per day to sleep & wash.
We have never had any problems with the transport to the parks, hope nothing has changed since we last went in 2003.
The pool is open til midnight, so nice to have a drink from the poolside bar & relax around it for the last hour, after coming back from the parks, while the kids go for a swim.

Where ever you chose you will love it I am sure.

Have a nice day & Remember the Magic. :cool1:

Totally agree. I have stayed at Music, Movies and Pop. Pop is the newest but boy was it busy, busy, busy. I found the crowds and the long 'exposed to the sun bus lines' hard to bear. We had to be in the food court by 7.45 to avoid the queues. I met other cyber friends who were staying at Movies and Music at the same time and there were no such problems.
At Pop the laundry queues were awful too. I was only able to wash my clothes on every occasion after midnight - not ideal. We were in a non smoking room and the air con was very dodgy. Smoke constantly drifted down through it to the bathroom and bedroom. We stayed in the last two weeks of August too when it isnt usually so busy. Thes were the negatives. The positive is that we enjoyed our holiday as always and had a wonderful time.
I have to say we all thought Music was the best and that will be our choice next time. We just love the guitar pool with the fountain. :)
