Yesterday after picking the kids up from school (DD10 & DS8) I had to go to Tescos, I offered the kids some doughnuts or cookies but DS said he didn't want any because he didn't feel too good.
I didn't really think anything of it and then back at home about an hour later while he was in the kitchen he shouts "mummy i've just been sick" so I shout "okay get to the toilet quickly", our downstairs loo is right next to the kitchen so a few feet away, well he misses completely and throws up massively just as he opens the toilet door, TWICE!!
Now, i'm a very bad mummy because I don't do at all well with sick and DH usually has to rush home from work to sort it out but he's in a new part of the job where he can't do that anymore. So DD puts kitchen roll over the top of it all (she went through 2 of them!) and after a frantic phonecall to DH where he insists he can't come home (he's 22 miles away) I wrapped his scarf round my nose and mouth, put on blue latex gloves, armed myself with air freshener and baby wipes and started clearing it up (I could have won £200 for this Kodak moment
).
Meanwhile, DD is just looking at me horrified beacuse I can't stop retching and she thinks i'm going to be sick too.
All in all it was my worst nightmare (well, almost) and DS is off school today and getting lots of attention but he feels much better now.
