Poor Unfortunate Souls ~ A Spooktacular Trip Back to the World! UPDATE Reality Check

Looks like such a great day! I love the Canadian Pavilion too. Such pretty gardens! All the food looks so tasty and I'll be interested to see if Dave makes it all the way around the world still standingpopcorn:: You're only about halfway there!

Haha well I do have some things at the non traditional 'drink around the world' locations, but I didn't really go with the intention of drinking at every cart, it was more eating and drinking something from every cart if possible. I think we missed a couple but I didn't do too bad :)

Great update! I have to say, I absolutely love your Beauty and the Beast shirt! :thumbsup2

I found it very disappointing that they introduced a Belgium booth, yet they had Stella Artois as the beer. Um, there is much better Belgian beer out there! Too much to count!

Definitely a mega update, but a very enjoyable one at that!:goodvibes

the trip around worldshowcase just looks so relaxed and enjoyable, that freshly cooked waffle really caught my attention!!!:yay:

and can't wait to see your pearl setting!:cutie:

if I could have designed a trip round world showcase it would probably read something like yours stefy! and DBF would be loving Dave's beer flight! our trip round world showcase was somewhat of a disaster so next time we will have to make up for our terrible decisions of rushing round WS in 1.5 hours literally blinded by sweat (dorry) and trying to snap photos on the run to Our ADR!!!

looking forward to reading more!

Yeah I would have liked to try something different from Belgium, Stella is the only bear that will give me a huge hangover including massive headache, it's a dirty beer.

I don't think I could ever rush WS, there's just so much to see and do and if you can do it in a relaxed way, you will appreciate it so much more. I relive the trip when I read the thread and that day was so awesome, can't wait to go back and do drink around the world with MrOhioDisneyLover, AKA. Joe.

I'm finally caught up and LOVING the updates! :goodvibes Both Epcot days, Future World and F&W in World Showcase, look amazing. I love all your WS pictures - everything is just so pretty there! I also hadn't been in the Canadian pavilion until 3 or 4 years ago, and since then I always have to go in and take tons of pictures. It's just so lovely! Also I NEED to get to Food and Wine one of these years - I've never been. Dave's beer sampling sounds great! Though I must admit, Stella is my go-to beer. Guess my beer tastes are not too refined!

Your cabbing back to the Poly, skipping Fantasmic due to the crows, and skipping early breakfast sounds just like our trips! :rotfl: Sometimes you've just got to do what you need to to preserve your sanity, and remember it is actually a vacation! :thumbsup2

Thanks :) We really enjoyed our walk around Canada :)

You'll have to wait until the next instalment to see how he does :teeth:

Thanks :) The BatB tee was my fav and it got quite a few compliments too, which was nice :)

The Belgium booth wasn't all that to be honest, but had to be hit if we were to eat and drink around the world :)

Thanks :) Sorry your WS day wasn't all that, but I'm sure it was still a good time :) Dedicating a whole day to WS is really worth it though, as you can go at a nice relaxed pace and take everything in :)

Thanks, you must do F&W it really is alot of fun, but be prepared for crowds.

I agree, you can't do everything and you just gotta step back and say I'm on vacation there's always next time :)

Hey Everyone

How are we doing? Good weekends?

Mine has been so so, have been in bed (again!) as I had an allergic reaction to something on Thursday night and have come out in a rash all over :( Suffice to say I have not been in an update-y mood, but it seems to be getting better, not as angry, but is taking its sweet time going.

Anywho, thought I had better finish off our WS Day so here we go :)

We left off with us exploring Japan, exploring done we headed on over to America, we took a couple of pics and wondered on over to the next F&W Cart.

Italy! We didn't fancy eating anything so we went for some drinks instead. I went for a Chianti.

Dave had some champagne.

After Italy we were supposed to hit Germany, but the line was too long so we opted for a PP instead.

The next cart we hit was Singapore, I was excited to try out this cart because I love things all Singapore, but gotta say I was a little disappointed. We went for Coconut Braised Beef Rendang with Jasmine Rice and Dave had a Tiger Beer.

It was a little too spicy and the had no consistency, or meat for that matter, so had to bin that one (which we weren't to happy about).

South Africa was much better tasting, we had Seared Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Puree and Mango Barbecue Sauce which was D-liscious :teeth:

The beef was so tender and the sauce was amazing and went well with the sweet potato puree.

After SA we hit South Korea for Barbecue Short Rib with Steamed Rice and Cucumber Kimchi.

Was quite good, but I was still full from SA and let Dave finish this one.

Things went a little downhill after this and we had to cut WS day short due to some differences of opinion. We also ended up skipping out on dinner this night too, so no dinner review (sorry).

All in all though a really great F&W day and something we will defo do again as taking WS at this pace was alot easier and more enjoyable.

Stay tuned for Day 8

Thanks for the update!

Sorry not everything went as you would have liked it, but at least you had yummy drinks! ;) :thumbsup2

Hope you get a-okay real soon again! Take it easy, you need to be in good shape for your trip to DLRP! I am counting on a trip report for that too! ;)

Thanks, I fully intend to be ship shape and healthy for DLRP. Will make sure it is the best 3 days ever, even if it kills me

Hey All

Christmas came early on Friday in the form of lots of wonderful gifts from the lovely Sophia and Joe.

We so can't wait to meet them next year as it has been so much fun getting to know them :goodvibes

We were naughty and couldn't wait until Christmas to open all of the wonderfully wrapped presents and opened them all :teeth: Here's what we got

There are some halloween gifts in there too which was pretty cool. A cookie cutter and decorations. Can't wait to make some Mickey Shape cookies with that.

Dave got Call of Duty: Black Ops for his PS3 and an awesome Miami Dolphins tee. His first official Dophins merchandise too which is v cool. He also got a lovely calendar of Ohio which we will be putting up to count down the days til Disney and get to know the State of Ohio too :teeth:

I got a lovely Belle Blanket with my name on, I love the colour and its v warm and snuggly too. I also got an awesome Mickey Leather notebook which is so being used for our planning next year.

We also got two cool books which we have never seen before, hopefully we won't fight over who reads what first  The first book is Project Future which is about how one mans vision became a reality and is know today as Walt Disney World. The other is The Vault of Walt, which is stories that have never been told about Disney. This is the descrip on Amazon:

What did Walt Disney really think about religion and prayer? Why did the FBI keep a file of memorandum about the original Mickey Mouse Club? Was Uncle Remus really banned from attending the movie premiere of Song of the South? Were there dozens of feral cats living in Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland? All of these true tales and more are waiting to be discovered between these covers.

We also got some cool leaflets on Ohio to give us an insight of what to inspect when we go and visit and the pièce de résistance

From Disney Couture, the Art of the Disney Princess Jasmine Scarf. I have been admiring this for some time and even tried to find it in the parks when we were out there (with no joy). Isn't it beautiful :lovestruc
