Poor Michael Vick is not happy in Philly. I'm so saddened.

While being really, really careful not to say anything that would make waves, Philadelphia Eagles "quarterback" Michael Vick(notes) said yesterday that he's not thrilled about his role in the Philadelphia offense. He doesn't dig the Wildcat, and if it's up to him, he won't be doing it next year.

"It would be hard," Vick said of returning to the Eagles, according to excerpts released by NBC. "It would be an everyday struggle. But I would have to take that time to hone my skills and get better. I'm excited about the opportunity I have moving forward whether it's with Philadelphia or another team." [...]

"I won't be a Wildcat guy. I can't," Vick told NBC. "It's a different style of play. It's almost like a hit-or-miss type of thing. My position is quarterback. That's what I was born to do."

What he does next year isn't really up to Vick, though. The Eagles have the option to keep him around next year for $3.6 million, though it's got to be seen as unlikely that the Eagles would pay that much for a guy whose only function seems to be to prevent the offensive from functioning smoothly or with any rhythm.

Not that that's Vick's fault, mind you. That coach Andy Reid brings him to stall the offense periodically is Andy Reid's decision. Maybe Vick can't make plays anymore ... maybe he can't throw or run. If that is the case, though, might I present this crazy idea to Andy Reid: Stop putting Vick in the game

Shut up and be glad that any team even offered you a contract.

I saw this and immediately thought of you! I thought he must be missing PD's cheering. :rotfl2:

I can't help myself.... I'm just such a huge dog lover.

Us too. We have a Lab and a french bulldog. My heart still aches for our English Bulldog that we lost about 3 years ago. He was the doggie love of my life.
We actually have one of the Vick bait dogs in our neighborhood. He's the sweetest dog I have met. He loves to lean into me and just get that neck scratch. It breaks my heart to see the scars on his head. (He is a pit/american bullie mix) And I believe his gentle nature made him the bait dog. I am just so glad he got a chance at a happy life. Now I have complained about this dog though being brought to the bus stop. He is excitable and nervous. Poor guy though how can you blame him.
I don't even have words to describe what I think about Vick that wouldn't get me banned.

I don't care what kind of football player he is, he's a cancer that I'll be glad to see GO! Don't let the door hit ya in the butt, Mikey. :dog::dogdance:

All I can say is please leave and stop being an embarrassment and reminder of the poor judgement of ppl. in my home state:sick:

BooHoo, cry me a river, I'm not afraid to say it...yeah, I can't stand the guy! pluto:

Maybe Vick just wants to work for the money he's being paid. Maybe he feels that taking two snaps a game is like pocketing easy money. He just prefers to work for it.

Hello, Buffalo Bills?

Hello, Buffalo Bills?

:scared1:hey what did we ever do to anyone. We had to take TO no convicts please.

I think they should chain him to a pole in the middle of the field during every game. Oops, sorry, did we just run over you AGAIN????

Oh poor poor Vick, maybe he'd be happier thrown in a pit with some wild dogs?

Apparently Michael Vick is under the impression that anyone cares about his happiness or unhappines.

Frankly, I think he should disappear.

A pit of wild animal lovers sounds perfect. I'll be first in line!
