I can not stand people who do not take care of their pets and allow their dogs to get out without even a collar on!
This morning, Sabrina was outside and all of a sudden, I hear VERY loud dog barking way too close to the house. I run out the door and see the cat, back arched and hissing furiously, and this HUGE black dog barking at her!! I yelled to the dog to go home, but instead, he ran up to me and jumped up, his front paws landing way above my belly and his face in mine. I yelled again, and the dog left me alone and started to chase the cat!
I ran after him, the kids coming outside to join the chase. I tried to position myself between the cat and dog to give Sabrina a chance to get away. The dog was persistant and did not stop until he had treed the cat!
Sabrina has never climbed a tree in her life. We pulled at the dog and it would not budge! Finally, the dog's owner (or son of) heard the noise and came looking. He pulled the dog home by the skin on it's neck, but not before we told him to make sure that dog stays in his yard or we will call someone! DH had to get a ladder and climb the tree to get Sabrina down (her collar got stuck on some branches). She lost a couple claws from her back paws.
She hasn't been out of the house since!
