Pooping dolls

I wanted a Baby Alive when I was 4 or 5. My mom would not get it b/c she was afraid the food goo would get trapped inside the doll and get moldy and stink.

So, yes, I do think kids really want these things. Maybe not all kids, but certainly some.

My kids have them. They have a lot of fun with them, too, although they enjoy making them pee best of all.

My DD wants dolls that she can PLAY with not take care of like a real baby. She thinks that the pooping dolls are yucky and too much clean up to be fun. A few years ago they came out with the barbie that came with a pooping dog. You fed the dog hard plastic brown treats and then it pooped them out. I pointed out that since you fed the dog the treats again after they came out that the dog was eating its own poop. DD and I would laugh about it everytime we saw it on tv!

I remember the commercial for those dogs. I was like "This is the weirdest toy I have ever seen for a kid. Who wants a pooping dog? I mean really?":confused3 :lmao:

This is the one my DD4 is asking Santa for. There's no food or water involved. It's all doll talking and sounds that come from the toilet and sink. I don't know why she wants it, but she does.

My DD does have a baby alive doll and it's o.k. I have a baster I use just for that doll to flush her out so she doesn't get moldy and icky. So far, she's in great shape.

I was having a bad day until I read that. I'm sorry. That really made me laugh. Baster. :rotfl:

Thanks for getting me out of my upset mood. :)

The funny part is these dolls make the kids think the poop will be water or hard plastic pellets with no smell. Just wait until they get their first real dog to pick up actual piles. They'll be shocked and sickened! It reminds of the thread about the constipated 3 month old. The mom was asking "How do I clean all those crevises?" :lmao: Until you've really done it it seems innocent enough. Then when the real deal comes along... :scared:

This is SO NOT like my "Baby Poops Alot"!

If it re-enforces the need to clean up after your dog, then I am all for it. Too many people just let their dogs poop everywhere.

Well, I guess this proves that if you make it, they will buy it. Weird.

:wave2: We had Tanner, the pooping dog. My DD used her birthday money to buy it almost 2 years ago. It was so strange that it ate its own magnet poop. The pooper scooper was recalled last summer. :rolleyes1 Mysteriously the poop pellets disappeared at our house over time. :rotfl2:
