Pools are at the top of the list for my children when we are on vacation. So I have a few questions. I know Stormalong Bay has a lazy river, but what else does it have? Does it have slides?

How would you rate the pools at the other resorts?

SAB has lots of things - big slide, little slide, hot tubs, sandy area for little ones to play, lazy riverlet (not nearly as long as the ones at the water parks, and verrrrry deep in spots, like 8 feet). It has a sandy bottom.

I prefer the pool at the Contemporary Resort to SAB. SAB is just too crowded most of the time. Since I am not that great of a swimmer, I don't like the deep depths either.

Coronado Springs has a great pool, not so deep, good slide, great theming.

SAB is my daughters favorite (lazy river, sandy bottom, whirlpool, sandy beach into pool) with AKL (nothing special, but she loved the slide) coming in second. She loves the slide at CR, but overall hated the pool. She is the type of child, as soon as we get back from the park wants to head out immediately to the pool... no matter what.

This trip we're going to give the Poly a try, she's a little apprehensive about the idea of a volcano slide, but willing to give it a try.

Last trip we took a look at the WL pool, and she took one look at the slide and determined it just wouldn't do. Maybe this trip I take her over to see the slide at BW.

We also liked SAB, although it was crowded. My DD loved the pool slide at AKL when we were there last.

Thanks everyone! My kids are the kind that want to hit the pool as soon as it opens and stay until it closes. If we do go to Disney (hoping for next summer), I'll be the one dragging them to the parks lol!

Please keep the pool reviews and opinions coming.

CSR has a great mail pool area with a sand volleyball court, arcade, largest hot tub on WDW property, playground, bar and snack bar. Check out pics on my website below.

Stayed as WL twice and pool gets very crowded and the line for the slide can get pretty long which means big kids cut the little kids, etc,etc.. We head over to the contemporary which has a much bigger slide and is rarely crowded. On our last trip in March we spent most of our pool hooping days at the CR. (have 6 yr old twin boys) On that day both WL and POLY pools were packed and the CR was not. Only down side of the CR pool is that there is no protection from the wind off the lagoon and depending on the time of the year the air will be more chilly than at some of the other pools. The kids also love the fountains at CR. Off course the upside is that there is a nice breeze on hotter days...
