pools after checkin, before room ready, want pool - what do you do w/valuables?

Was thinking we'd spend time at the pool after we checkin but before our room is ready. What do ppl do w/their valuables? Is just keeping the bag in sight ok or not? Or should we plan on a monorail & boat ride, etc and skip the pool? (wont be activating APs yet)

We're going to Blizzard Beach as soon as we arrive (morning), so I'm sure the room won't be ready. I'm going to give my carry-ons to the baggage clerk at POP, and I'm putting any valuables in the hotel safe at the front desk.

I know CSR has lockers at their main pool. Not sure I'd want to put really valuable stuff in there though, but that is just me. I wouldn't leave your bag out in the open. Thieves scout pools to find unattended belongings. I would wait to use the pool until you are settled in your room. Then you don't have to worry about where to hide all your stuff.

We were at the YC and decided our first day was a pool day. (We were at the hotel by 10:30 a.m.

We changed at the health club and used the lockers to lock up my purse, clothes etc. They have the programmable locks. Worked out great since our room was not ready.

We too have done this at YC. We gave everything to the valet guys who put it all in their lock up. We changed in the bathrooms beside the YSH. I was a little worried about giving them my purse but they took me back and let me see the lock up room and I felt much better.

Definitely do not leave it unattended at any pool. You are asking for it to get stolen. Have to wonder, do the pool theives stay at the resort and work the pools or do they Pool Hop.

Another reason for increased security.
