Pool view room recommendations at AKL

Hi there! We are staying at AKL from Dec. 21-28 for the first time and are super-excited! We have stayed at POR once and several times at POFQ in standard or garden view rooms. We have booked a pool view room at AKL and looking for some advice on which rooms may be more desirable. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I don't think there is a lot of difference in the view for pool view rooms at AKL. You would be in either Giraffe Trail or Zebra Trail (google for a map.) You might have the roof of Boma or Jiko below you with the Pool a little more distant. Rooms in Giraffe trail might also have a view toward the savannah if you are up higher. Bring binoculars So you might want to request one wing or the other or a higher or lower floor but that's the only thing I think that could matter.

Thanks for the info! Really wanted Savannah view but not in the cards until the Canadian dollar perks-up!

I had first floor. It was on the level with the pool right outside our window--except that it was 55 degrees and rained the whole trip....

GREAT location though as far as within the resort. CLOSE to Mara and very close to front doors (just up the elevator.)
