Pool View at AKL

We have a pool view room reserved. Is there any particular area, floor, that we should request? This may be a weird question, but can you 'smell' the restaurants from the rooms in that area?

I would not want the ground floor. Too many people walking by and looking into your room. Besides, you're so low you really don't see anything.

We enjoy the upper floors. There are times you can smell Boma/Jiko but alot depends on which way the wind is blowing. Depending on when you are staying, it might be too hot to keep the door open which would mean you wouldn't be able to smell the restaurants.
