pool question

We are not stayiing at a dvc resort this trip. Can we still go to the pools since we are dvc members? ( I know we can't go to beach club and WL pool.)

The pool hopping perk rules state that you must be staying at a DVC resort on points in order to pool hop.

The other perks (like dining discounts and valet parking at DVC resorts) are available to you by showing your membership card.

We called WL when we stayed at PO/FQ in Nov/Dec 02 and they said we could come to the WL & VWL to use their pools. We did it legally.

Not really, you did it because the CM was ignorant of the rules. It is true that once upon a time when DVC members stayed elsewhere on points, their card still said "member" at least part of the time, in that case, I guess they'd have no way of knowing otherwise. I don't think that's the case any longer.
