Pool Question BC vs. BWI

Everyone, geez, it's Disney Resort, not your first born. :sad2:

It's ok not to like a certain resort and it's ok to really like another one.

Do we have to be juvenile about it, unless of course you are a juvenile, then I guess you can't help it.

They are both great resorts, and both have factors that appeal to certain people over others. I think we should all respect that we are not clones of each other and differences are acceptable.

I will say this though, if one does not care for the YC/BC why would you even read the YC/BC Lovers thread. :confused3 That makes no sense at all to me. Just saying.

Lets get this back on topic... future off topic posts will be deleted.

Just posted as Canadian Guy did...ok back on topic - why not make a poll of which pool people like more - then the original poster can get an actual number of who likes which one? I don't know how to start a poll or I'd do it.

another vote for Beach Club pool.

I could see how it might be overwhelming trying to watch bigger kids though. We went with a 2, 4, and 6 year old, so we did the slides with them, and all stayed together. In 3-4 years from now, we will have to split up or expend a lot of energy ;)

We hung out mostly near the sandy beach area while little one played in sand, middle swam in shallow area and oldest practiced her laps in deeper section by Hurricane Hanna's- it was perfect!

Pixarmom did an excellent job of answering your question. I just wanted to add some Luna Park photos for you to see and also mention that personally, my DD did not like SAB as much as she enjoys the pools at the other Deluxe resorts. She was 11 the last time she was at SAB and she felt that compared with the other Deluxe pools, SAB was much more crowded and so spread out as to be less enjoyable on a hot and crowded day. DD felt she'd rather trade all the water features at SAB for a less crowded and hectic pool with fewer features. That's just a personal preference and DD is quite impatient, so your mileage may vary:upsidedow. Also, some parents prefer a smaller pool area, such as Luna Park, where they can more easily watch their children.Good luck choosing:).

I know this post is old, but the topic is still relevant. I was just researching the issue of pools at BWI vs BC/YC for our trip. Then I remembered that we spend a week at BC 3 or 4 years ago. WHY do I only remember the quiet pools??.... Oh, yeah! SAB was so jam packed every time we went out there that it was just no fun for us, so we went to the small pool every day. (it was bad enough that my 3 kids did not even complain about not being at SAB...) In the next two years, both also during summer, we stayed at CR and GF. At both those places, we strolled out and enjoyed the pools (including chairs) each day. Now I am reconsidering YC, where I already have reservations.

I wonder if we stayed at BC before they tightened up against pool crashers. I wonder if they actually DID tighten up against pool crashers? It was a zoo. I think it was 2012
