Last year I posted a thread that documented the installation of our inground pool. Many of you followed along and watched the step by step process, from the digging of the hole in the ground to the filling of the pool with water. The thread is still here, but the photos are gone.
I'm not sure what happened, but if anyone is interested, I could probably find a way to post them again.
Anyway, I thought I'd post some before and after photos showing the progress of our recent landscaping in and around the pool area. We knew when we had the pool installed that we'd have to do some landscaping afterwards, but we didn't realize how extensive it would be. The heavy trucks left big ruts in the lawn to the side of our house, where they had to drive to get around to the back. The cement truck left big piles of crushed rock all over the ground, and a good portion of our lawn was dug up and had to be fixed.
There were huge gaps under the fencing around the pool that had to be filled in and much of the lawn had to be reseeded. It'll be a few months before we have grass again in some areas. We also had to figure out what to put on the ground inside the pool area between the concrete decking and the fence.
So, if you want to see the results, go here: http://community.webshots.com/user/luvflorida
We still want to put some big planters with colorful flowers/plants inside the pool area, and we've added some adirondack chairs along one edge of the concrete decking since the pictures were taken. Now, all we need is this guy-
and some warm weather!!!!!
