ALSO- Not a pool hopping question!

Question about YC/BC pool in particular:

DO ALL members of your family/party need to have a key to gain entrance to the pool if going together? Or just all adult members? Do my kids each need to have a key on them too? If my DH carried a his key and we left duplicates back in the room in a safe with our wallets would we be turned away? Is it one family= one key, or is it each family member must have a key- proof of staying at resort?

to gain admittance to SAB at the YC/BC you need to show a room card. This is all members of your party. Now don't go overboard looking for exceptions, there aren't any except for the children in your room who do not get charged (I beleive that is for children under the age of two). If you look to enter, then pass the key off to someone outside so they can gain admittance, it might work, it might not. You get caught, you are asked to leave, that is all of you, not just the one admitted under false pretences.

Not my intention at all- just curious if we'd have to bring down and keep track of 4 cards while in there- not trying to pass them to anyone. Wasn't sure how getting in worked.

to the OP....I thought that was a really good question, actually. We are staying at the YC next June and I wondered about that too... because I didn't know if they could scan your card and see how many people were on your reservation or what. But I guess it's like getting into the parks, you need a ticket for everyone. :) So it's good information to know.

I've got a little zip ID pouch from Vera Bradley that has a clip on it... we're going to bring that for our ID's and clip it inside our beach bag... you might think about doing something like that so you don't have to bring a wallet to the pool... throw a few $$ in there w/ your room key and you're good to go! :thumbsup2

Didn't think it was. Unfortunately there are others on this board that are looking for ways to get around the rules. For example, when it was posted on one thread that the SAB may not be checking room keys after a certain hour of the evening, it really went viral. Fortunately, they do check at all hours. Of course, when it's 50 degrees outside they may be a little lax on the checking rules.

We've been turned around to get the rest of the keys for the children.

Depending if you are staying in the Villas or the resort... it is FAR to get the keys. I'd suggest bringing them all.

We stayed at the BC last December and both got in with only my DH's room key. Mine was in our bag too, but never had to pull it out.

I'd rather have it and not need it then need it have to trek back to the room... but hey... to each their own!

They do want one per person. The first time we went down when they were "carding" my DD was pretty young and we brought only one room card -- we had to go all the way back up and get the rest. Smart to ask this question now rather than find out in the hot, noon-day sun. :goodvibes

We have stayed there every summer for the past 5 summers.

Last summer was the first time everyone in our party needed his/her room key to access the pool area. I had to go back to the room to get DS13's room key.

It was a little bit of a pain to hike back to our villa, but I was glad they were requiring room keys for everyone.
