Is it OK to pool hop between the 3 resorts? Also, it there a way to get from one resort to the other and not have to drive or pay for parking?:smooth:

Yes, it is okay :)

You can take the boat shuttle, or walk.

like Taylor1293 said, you can take the boat, but as far as walking, I think the resorts are a bit too far to walk between (especially if swimming). AND, if you drive, they WILL charge you the $6.00 parking fee

AMickeyfan,
I was told that the 6.00 per day parking fee covers all 3 Universal resorts. In other words, if you're staying at PBH, you can park at HRH with no additional fee. I believe you'll need your room key.

Tiggerwoods.... no it doesn't ..... Last Aug we stayed at the RPH & drove over to PB & they were going to make me pay the $6.00. Showed them my room Key (& I was in the Conciege Level) & they didn't care..... They let me out without paying but I couldn't stay. They told me to park back at my resort & take the boat over if I didn't want to pay... I was VERY MAD! I am not sure who gave you that info..... but it happened to me first hand.......

Things may have changed since last year, but I was told no. I showed my room Key. I am an Annual Pass hoder, Fan Club Member & Lowes First Member......they still insisted that I was to pay. When we went into the lot, the gate gives you a parking ticket, you must pay this ticket when you leave to open the gate. When we went into the hotel, I questioned why I had the ticket & asked why I had to pay(showed all of my member cards, as well as my room key). They explained to me that was the policy. If I didn't want to pay the fee I should have taken the boat, that is why they provide the transportation between resorts.....this is what the manager on duty said. They said they would give us a code to punch into the sysytem so I didn't have to pay, but I HAD to leave then. We did & I must say....I didn't return to swim.....and to make matters worse, my husband made me cancel our future stay's (they were for Thanksgiving & week before Christmas). I haven't since been back to Universal's Hotel's. We have stayed off property. I am thinking of staying there this summer for 2 days if I can get a good rate. My husband will not come. That little incident, plus the fact that we had to pay to park at our home resort as well, really turned him off....he refuses to stay there.

While we were there (at the RPH), my sister (who lives 1 hour away & is a pass holder meaning free parking) came to see us at the resort. They wanted to charge her $17 to get out of the lot!!!!! It took them 15 minutes of "talking" to get out of the lot without paying. My sister even showed them her pass & explained that they would have parked free in the garage lot...the attendent was stating that they parked there ONLY to NOT pay the garage fee while in the parks! She kept telling them my last name & room number & they were VERY RUDE to her. Now, yes this was all last August.... I think the RPH was only open less than 3 weeks at the time, maybe the staff there wasn't trainned properly...but at PB they were and they WERE going to charge me .....

MickeyFan,
That really bites. I have never tried to cross-park, but I'm going to try in July. By the way, it's my understanding that the boats don't run from resort to resort. I was told I had to go to City Walk from PBH and catch the boat back to HRH. That's why I was going to drive.

I think you are correct Tigger Woods.... I do believe that was why we drove...not to have to switch boats .... Even talking a bus can be a drag.... (while wet!!!).... Who knows.... maybe that is Lowes way to detere (can't spell) guests from pool hopping...even though they do allow it. Now if you are talking dinner or lunch at one of the resorts...sure .... I don't mind the boat transfer, or the bus....or even a nice (long) stroll from resort to resort.....but with bathing suits & being wet...or even carrying a change of clothes.... the boat & bus can be a hassle....that is just my opinion... When you get back update us on the parking policy....... personally, I don't think they should charge from resort to resort..... (at least not at the rates they charge to stay there LOL)
