We are planning a trip to wdw with extended family staying in different resorts. With the no pool hopping rule, will we be able to bring the kids into our pool with us, even though they are staying in a different resort?
Which resorts are we talking about??? What time of year???
While the rule is no pool hopping, I doubt anybody would blink an eye or even care if you were all staying at values and met at the Pop Century pool during a slow time of the year for a couple hours.
Now trying the same thing at the Beach Club in July with folks staying at the All-Stars you will more than likely be turned away.
it seems, as we have never been asked to show proof of our stay or to leave. We've done it at POR and ASMu. The kids went in the pool and adults sat on the side. Not crowded time of year, either. Each family had four paying guests at each resort, and there were four guests in the pool, so we felt okay with it. That was before the pool hopping thing became an issue, though. I think if we were going to do it now, I would only do it at an uncrowded pool. If there's 12 people, and there's only 4 paying to stay at that resort, that's too many in the pool.
It really does not hinge on how may guests pay to stay in the resort vs. how many are in the pool or pool area. It has to do with who is registered at the resort. The lifeguards at the pool are able to determine if the conditions will allow guests to bring guests, not necessarily what it looks like to one of us. As I said before, all it takes is one minute to inquire.
Great advice everyone! Who did you inquire with? My intent would be for me to take one DGD and my husband to take in the other DGD to the pool. Will definitely read the pool thread. It really does not hinge on how may guests pay to stay in the resort vs. how many are in the pool or pool area. It has to do with who is registered at the resort. Yes, one is paying to stay on property, but one is paying to stay at a specific resort. That doesn't give one access to other resorts' pools unless they are sister resorts (BC/YC or POR/POFQ).This isn't really a big issue...Unless it's at SAB, or AoA, or even POLY, I'm sure you're not going to have a problem....Is it frowned upon. Yes..... but you are paying to stay on property so, to me not that big a deal..![]()
