Pool Hopping Question

A couple of weeks ago after checking out of the BCV, we stopped by the Polynesian Resort to use their pool. We were not carded and that is a good thing as I turned in the room keys upon checkout. Is the room key a necessity or is the DCV card good enough? It may be better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

You must be staying on points to pool hop. You need to keep your room key that shows you are/were a guest that day.
