Hey! We are staying at the POP from August 22-29. Now this may be a stupid question, but would we be allowed to go to another Disney resort and swim in their pool. I know that you can eat there or meet there, but can you go in their pool? I know that the Coronado has a beautiful pool area and I was wondering if I could swim in it "legally". Thanks! :cool1:

It is my understanding that you cannot. If you stay at the All-Stars, you can hop between those pools, but staying at the Pop...no, you can't.

Check out my response to your other thread about reusing refillable mugs. You'll be able to find answers to your other potentially hot questions there.

Have a great trip.

A good rule of thumb is that if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. For example: Two people cannot share all-you-can-eat meals, refillable mugs aren't good forever, and you cannot pay child rates for adults.

... or anywhere else where people show consideration to their hosts and respect rules.

The OP asked if it is allowed and it has been correctly answered that it is not.

I guess you haven't had the humiliating experience of being escorted out? It's quite a riot!

I can understand the desire to want to "try out" other resort pools. Unfortunately though it can easily contribute to over-crowding in these resorts. This is completely unfair to the guests who have paid to stay at that resort. I know pool hopping is not allowed, but I've never seen anyone asked to leave. We stay at the Poly every Summer. Anyone have any good stories about pool hoppers getting asked to leave?

Iam sure there are pool hoppers who are asked to leave...but many many more who don't get caught...as it were. :teeth:

Iam glad Iam staying at the CR as noone seems to want to hop there for some reason. :teeth:

I've seen pool hoppers evicted many times at the Poly. Three times on the last trip in October it happened. The guards there are getting pretty good at "carding" guests to make sure they are indeed Poly guests. I think it is quite comical to see these people busted for hopping. They are all quite embarrassed though! LOL!

That's because the CR has a boring pool.

The moderators should just shut the thread down, the question was answered. You can't pool hop, you can't look for an empty room and take a nap and you can't bring your laundry from downtown Orlando to do in the Villa's! :woohoo:

Well put Lake Ariel.

Maybe I'm just overly suspicious, but I find it hard to believe that someone who has been a DIS member for nearly a year with over 400 posts would post 2 such hot-topic questions in one day! Pool hopping and refillable mugs are two hotly debated issues which I (who is still earning her ears) figured out very early. Call me skeptic, but I don't buy it.

Kinda reminds me of when I was a kid, we used to stir up bumble bees' nests to rile them up and make them chase us!!! :lmao:

That caught my eye too.

:rotfl2: :rotfl:
I thought me and my buddies were the only ones dumb enough to do that!

(no insult intended)

but it hurts when you learn you can't out run bees
then do it again to make sure
