Does anyone know if pool hopping will be allowed at SSR?

I sure hope so. My DD2 would love that whole kiddie area.

Thanks,

Although conjecture here was that it would not be allowed, I haven't seen anything official stating that. In fact, the most recent announcement about dates when pool hopping will be suspended included dates after SSR opens and only listed AKL and BC as "off limits" permanently.

I totally don't want a pool hopping debate, but...
first, it seems like a big pain to me...
second, I kind of feel if you like the pool, then stay at the resort!

What I'm wondering is what will be available during the week of Member's Homecoming for those of us not attending the homecoming, but who'd like to take a look at the resort.

IS THIS CONSIDERED POOL HOPPING

If there will be multiple pools I don't see a problem with hopping to it. I haven't hopped since my first trip and probably won't hop again...I just don't stay at pools long enough to make it worthwhile.

I think you'll agree, this doesn't apply to those of us who have already purchased at a different resort. Pool hopping was one of the perks that influenced our original purchase in DVC and I think we should be able to "hop" as we please.

::yes::

Pool hopping is a great perk

I tend to agree.... To us, Pool Hopping gives us the chance to do other things as well such as explore different resorts....

We usually make a full day of it, by hopping over to a resort we are interesting in... Swim for a good portion of the day, explore the lobbies, eat at the restaurants, and then shop at the stores...

We always obey the rules that DVC has outlined by not hopping to BCV or AKL. We always check with the front desk before we hop to make sure the pool isn't at capactity and we are spending money at those resorts while we are there, so I really don't see the problem with it..

I really hope that SSR does allow pool hopping... We have already taken the model tour and loved it... Maybe by pool hopping over there, and exploring the resort some, we'll become enticed to buy points there.. ;)

While I see the point and somewhat agree, there is no contractual obligation on DVC's part to continue this perk. It was not part of the POS or signed contract at any oint along the way.

I think DVC will continue to allow pool hopping -- especially at SSR just for the reason of selling the resort to visitors.

I hope they don't put it on the 'do not hop' list. We are planning to pool hop over to it in July so we can get a look around.
