Pool heat

Hi everyone just a quick question Can any one tell me what they pay for pool heat .Just had a quote which seems a bit high but perhaps I'm out of date .Dont usually go this late so haven't always had it .Thanks in advance for any answers

The amount I've been quoted is $460 for 15 days heat .We've been with this villa owner a few times now and we've gone when it's been warmer .But I'm sure when we've had pool heat before it wasn't that much

While it might seem high .... by about $ 60 ..... there are a few other things

to think about . And Info for other Villa Renters

( A ) You have Free Electricity for 15 days ..this includes air conditioning

( Some renters leave outside doors open & try to air condition Florida )


( B ) On a 15 day rental The Owner has to pay for Cleaning the Villa .

This can be up to $ 100 per clean .

( C ) There are always some small minor damage to be repaired .


So maybe the Villa owner just Might be trying to

Recoup / Recover some money out of your $460 to pay for the above.

A lot of villa owners receive about $ 100 per VILLA per Night

So a 3 Bed villa Can be rented for $ 700 & tax ... A Week... not bad for

6 to 8 people

What I should have said was that $ 700 rental , per week,( My words ) would be very

good rental rate for a holiday family 0f 6 to 8 persons ...so would an extra

$ 460 for pool heat be high ?

If the average price for pool heating is around £90 per week (about $145), then yes, the OPs quote is well above the reasonable and average.

It sounds like the OP is renting straight from the owner as she mentions she has used them before. If that's the case I would expect all of those fees (cleaning etc) to be accounted for in the rental price.

If the average seems to be around £90per week ($145 a week) then I'd expect 15 days to be around $310 so I'd say the price is actually quite high.


Maybe have a look at a few villa pages and see how much they are charging for pool heat at the time of year you are going (do they charge less in summer months?) and if it still seems on the high side prehaps just ask the owner.
