He said the cut is between the pads, but on the pad. We will see how it goes.

Julia always wants Lucas to have pink collars, etc. I have to remind her he is a BOY. He has a purple vest that matches her purple chair, and a purple leash..... purple potty baggies and a purple treat holder.

Ummm they are spoiled ;)

They sell a dog collar now ( I got mine in that big gift shop in Epcot) that's bright pink with light pink alternating Mickey heads and Princess tiaras. There's a little metal hang tag that says "Disney Princess". Skye has one but people still call her "hey buddy" all the time, lol. Perhaps Lucas(ina) might need one too, lol.---Kathy

Actually, I remember talking to DD's equipment person once who said that purple wheelchairs are the most poplular color.
I thought red would be the highest for boys, but she said that purple was tops for boys and girls. After that, I noticed a lot of guys with purple chairs - I think for some of them it might have to do with sports teams.

Ohhh!
I know my DD would like one, but I don't think our dog would.

We have only ever seen one other purple chair. Julias best little friend has a purple chair just like hers. The chair she has was only offered in yellow or red up until 2 yrs ago.

Then again we have seen very very few pediatric power chairs. Only 4 others like hers ever.... I guess its not overly common, at least not where we have been.

Just chiming in here...the cooling pad above is great. I have one for dog..(not a service dog; just a loved greyhound who doesn't do well with heat).. We do alot of outdoor events and even prep of shade; water; spritzing her with water..sometimes conditions like humidity or surfaces like concrete or stone retain the heat. The pad actually does stay cool..dampish..but not really sopping wet..but she'll lay on it and it keeps her much cooler. Of course..we still provide shade..water; etc.. but for times that we can't get into an a/c area it works very well.
And a P.S...in addition to the regular "do not disturb" sign..you might want to make and bring your own sign to hang on the door in the event you do decide to let your DD's S/D hang out in the room alone..just something like.."Please DO NOT ENTER.. Service Dog resting in room.. His people are nearby...call..*cell number* if needed. Thank you." You never know when maintenance or somebody may be going in to check a reported leak from above or something.
Have a wonderful time!

From what I've been told if that little "do not disturb" sign is in the key card slot they are forbidden to enter the room. We had connecting rooms once and one had a problem with a leaky sink. I kept wondering why no one was showing up to fix the problem and when I called I was told that the sign was in my door so they couldn't enter. Seems my son had shoved it in there and forgotten about it since we all tended to exit through the door in my connecting room. Yeah, he got a Mom speech.---Kathy

Haha, yeah. Although, even with the hot pink collar, pink with purple butterflies collar, purple-on-lavender flower pattern collar, and deep pink collar, tons of ppl still call my dog a "he"! Only a few notice the pink collar - and many times that is after they have already said "he" or asked her gender.

It is fine to spoil your SD - they do so much for us, how can we not?! :)
