Pool chair problems?

So the only reason we’re staying there is for SAB. My best friend thinks it’s like having a water park at your hotel, and we moved from BLT to BCV just to get it “out of her system”. The 5 and 9 year olds are her kiddos and mine is the 11 who is a good swimmer. I (incorrectly) thought she’d be thrilled to do BLT for her 5 year old’s first trip to Disney World because of the ease of getting to MK, but this time the focus is POOL! I’ll be going for most of the rest of my life, so I will see how being able to walk to Epcot and HS bodes for us. I am a rental car person when it comes to Disney, but I guess we’ll have to concede to bus at MK. Can you tell I’m mildly grumpy for spending my DVC points this way haha?

BLT pool won’t likely be done by then. I think staying at BCV and having easy access to Epcot and HS is amazing. I’m predicting you will love it!

Is there a quieter pool at Poly you recommend? We are going late July with older teens who just want to sunbathe/take a quick dip.

Yes the Oasis pool or the new Zero entry Cove pool at the Island Tower DVC building, and yes you are able to use any of the (3) pools at the Polynesian resort.

Even the Lava pool can be fun when it is not people soup, and by late July it may be manageable.

I’m not a beach or pool person, so I’m doing this for my friend. I am however a watch fireworks from my room every night and go to MK as much as possible person. I really hope you’re right. My husband is not happy we had to leave BLT for Beach Club since it was the only place he wanted to own at haha.

I didn’t use to be a beach or pool person, but DVC converted me!

Aside from the pool having easy access to 2 parks is really great. Also trying out new places is cool too. But I love that you love your home resort.

My goal is to try all the DVC properties but I'm not sold on enjoying OKW. Since we bought in we've tried the DVC side at Boardwalk, Copper Creek Cabins, and Grand Floridian and have enjoyed them all!

We don't own DVC (yet...still trying to convince DH) but have stayed at many DVC resorts and surprisingly, we really like OKW. It has a really nice, relaxing vibe and having the quiet pool and hot tub all to yourself at the end of a long park day is really awesome! Granted it's not our first choice, but often the price is really good and the boat to DS is great!

We were at Jambo just last week. There are a LOT of pool chairs, though as noted many are outside the "fence" that surrounds the pool, and shade can be hard to come by. But, it was never a problem finding empty chairs.
