pool at Royal Plaza

Does anyone know how deep the pool is at Downtown Disney's Royal Plaza Hotel? Does the pool get crowded in the summer months?

To save money, I booked this hotel for our August trip instead of our two rooms at the All Stars. My kids spend a lot of time in the pool, so I'm hoping for a poolview room for easy access.

9 ft at the deep end. DS was in the pool almost every night of our 2 week trip, July 7-18. Pool water was like bath water he says. There is also a hot tub in the pool area as well as a recreation center with exercise equipment in a room off to the side.

If I remember right, the shallow end was around the 3 1/2 to 4 ft range. I thought it was a little deep. They also have a pool bar that seems to be open more for the day then night. When we got back late at night the pool was open until 11 pm I think. We were lucky to have a friend give a suite to us for a gift. It seems all of the rooms around the pool were suites with gates and patios inside them. Hope this helps. Call directly to the hotel and they can answer all of your questions I'm sure.
