I will start off saying I’ve never been a fan of waterparks, now through in I’m pooh sized and not tigger size it’s a even less inviting. With the free dinning rumors it looks like the park hopper plus is going to be a requirement and I thought I should at least check out a the design and stuff behind typhoon lagoon. So could you tell me a little bit about your experience being pooh sized there just in case I do decided to do more than look around. Thanks a bunch.

It really depends on how self-conscious you are. I have definitely seen Pooh Size folks having a blast at waterpark. I'm a smaller Pooh - but I'm going in two weeks!

I don't remember for sure - but I think some raft rides with more than one person might have a combined weight-limit - but single rider ones don't (and least, that's what I remember).

We live in an are where water parks are a staple. Only issue I have ever had was launching in some tube rides in the water level is a little low. I have "bottomed out" and the lifeguard had to push a little harder than normal to get me going down the slide.

First, I do not think that Disney is going to require the "plus" - just the hopper - but you never know so I understand your preparation questions. We have gone several times with larger family members. There is a ton to do, no matter your size. The wave pool is amazing no matter your size, as are the slides.

If you get the chance, just go and have a blast.

I agree with PP above about self-consciousness being the only issue you might have at the water parks!

I hope you have a blast.

My main issue was the stairs!! So many stairs! Aiming to be fitter next trip!!

Are you able to wear t-shirts on any of the slides/attractions at either of the 2 disney water parks?

I'm a small guy, so can't speak from first hand experience, but go to the water parks a lot. The only thing I notice with pooh size people is that they can build up a lot of speed going down the slides. Some of the slides drop you into a pool of water at the end. The faster you go down the slide, the bigger the splash into the pool, so just be prepared for it.

And yes, there are a ton of stairs, so just be aware of that.

I was pooh-sized when we went a few years ago, I see people of all shapes and sizes so it's all about your comfort. I fit on everything I went on without issues, even me and my pooh-sized husband went on the chair lift at Blizzard Beach and survived to tell about 2 heavy individuals and a tiny daughter on there. I hate heights so it was all in my head of weight snapping it! I say, if you're up for it, go for it! :) I like their water parks.

Typhoon Lagoon has an awesome lazy river that is gigantic and frankly I could spend the day in it - lol! I did a couple of the slides without issue. I'm average pooh sized (and I'm sure there is a good bit of variation in what one considers pooh sized). I saw a lot of people of all sizes. I mean really we aren't on muscle beach so don't worry about that part. Also we rented the umbrella that comes with some chairs and it was really nice to know we'd have a shady spot to sit and chairs - well worth it for our water park day I thought!

Don't worry about it at all! Go and have a BLAST! I think the only issue is that you might be able to have more than ME! (Lol, I'm really not THAT self involved!) As another poster mentioned, the more mass, the more speed you can pick up, seems extra fun to me:)

No one should feel like you need to wear shirt unless its to stay out of the sun. Rock yourself!

I like TL as the surf pool is my favorite. I can spend all day at the surf pool.

I am a smaller pooh size gal and I see lots of pooh size people at the waterpark. The one thing that I think of is getting a rash, inner thighs. I use body glide before I go, it helps.

I also get hot easily, so a good shady spot is very important to me. Last year we tried a cabana and it was totally worth it and are getting one this year. Comfy chairs, water bottles an attendant and lots of shade. Other years we have gone early and gotten a shady spot by the surf pool.

You can bring a cooler, which is really nice. Saves on water and snacks.

I'm more Pooh sized than not and I go and have fun-and I can't even swim! I use to send DH and DS to the water parks without me and I stayed behind and did laundry-one year they insisted I go and I had so much fun. I loved the lazy river and found out that I really enjoyed it. Probably one of our best days of the trip. Go and have fun and don't you worry a bit about it!
