Well..finally, as promised, I got the pictures of my nursery uploaded to Imagestation.com!

A picture of the border and the custom mouldings that DFIL made for the wall. We have textured walls so the border refused to stay up until...DFIL came up with a solution. He mounted the border to boards and mounted THAT along with the mouldings he created to the wall.

This is the crib with bedding that my ILs bought for us. Ain't it adorable? :)

Another shot of the bedding along with a couple of his toys. :)

I'll post more once I get them uploaded. :)

Baby James is gonna be here soon...are you excited? :)

WOW - lucky boy. His nursery is so cheerful. I really love the textured walls. :sunny:

It's looks really cute. I bet you're excited/nervous etc. I'm sure you already know this, but just make sure to take the comforter and stuffed animals out of the crib before you put the baby in.

The nursery is adorable. You must be so excited! I hope the time seems to fly for you.

Your border story reminded me of when my DFIL was helping to get our nursery ready (he's since passed). My DM and I had picked a border and the lady at Home Depot told us that we really needed to use a paste if we wanted to stay up. Apparently pre-glued borders were known to fall down. This step was particularly important since the border was being put over painted panelling. DH and DFIL insisted that the glue was a waste of time and DFIL proceeded to put it up "his way". I stepped back and let him have at it. When it was done it looked beautiful and I told him so. Fast forward to the next morning when I went to look at my new nursery again. It looked like we were getting ready for a party. The border had half fallen down and it looked like drooping streamers across the room. I called DFIL and he came over. After all of us having a good laugh he put it back up. He used the paste.

You and your DH did a great job! It looks very cheerful and inviting!

I know about taking the comforter and stuffed critters out prior to putting him in there. We have a bassinette (which I need to post the picture of as soon as I get it downloaded to my compy) one of our neighbors gave us which he'll be sleeping in at first instead of the crib, though. :)

And I know about borders not sticking. The lady at Home Depot said the border wouldn't stick to a textured wall, but since it wasn't terribly expensive DH decided to try it anyway after he painted the room. The same thing happened to us...the next day, the border had fallen off in a lot of places and was sort of just...hanging there, like a party streamer. We ripped it off and were not going to do a border at all until DFIL came up with the idea of sticking the border to something else and sticking the whole thing to the wall. He was even nice enough to hand-make and hand paint the mouldings with paint he had matched to a sample of the blue border color on the bedding he got at Home Depot. :)

I am excited...extremely so. I can't WAIT for him to get here! And it'll be soon! w00t!

Beautifully done! It looks very sweet! :)

Almost time, TOV, and that looks really nice. Hope the next few days are good ones.

I just took some more pictures..one of the bassinette and his carseat with the Pooh headsupporter pillow thingie (don't know what they're called). We also have a Pooh and a Piglet chafe-guard (I think that's what they are called) on the strappies that hold him in the car seat that are sooo cute. I also took a piccie of the 'quillow' my grandmother paid to have made for James as well as a close up of the border. Now if I could only get my stupid Kodak EasyShare software to download the piccies from my stinking camera.... I think I'll have to shut the whole compy down and start over before it'll do it, though.
