Pooh Corner Treats

Hm. Good to know that the original tigger tails can still be found! Please do let us know what you find out HydroGuy. Otherwise I suppose I'll find out myself a few days later.

You're actually making a DLR HalloweenTime trip? Wow! That's a first, isn't it?
Yes I am. :woohoo:

I got my first DAP in July because we had seven in our group and the food and merchandise discounts paid for the price difference from parkhoppers.

Now I have a trip to SoCal that just came up and so I can get over to the HalloweenTime for the first time! Ghost Galaxy, here I come! Plus I am going to try and see RDCT again and WOC. :) This will also be my first solo trip to DLR. :wizard:

Oh wow! HydroGuy, on the loose in DLR at HalloweenTime, totally solo!! I can't wait to read your observations about the Halloween season when you get back. This year appears like it's going to be a tiny bit more scaled back in terms of decorations than it was the last few years, but it will still be fun. So Ghost Galaxy is new to you, but have you been on Haunted Mansion Holiday before?

I agree - I think it's good for at least one person, especially in a large group, to have some sort of upper level AP. The discounts really, really come in handy (aside from the multiple DLR trips it allows, of course)!

I have done HMH a couple times and do not care for it really. But I will do it again this time. I know IASWH is not up til November but that one I really like. :)

ok, so what is a tigger tail exactly? I see what it looks like but is it a cupcake under the coating?

I am a WDW regular heading to DL for the first time next month. Any other treats I should make sure i try?

It's marshmallows on a stick, coated in caramel and then the flavored "frosting" - for tigger tails, it's orange flavor. For cheshire tails, it's strawberry flavor. They are very sweet, which is a turn-off for some people. Not for me :)

It tastes better than it sounds. It has marshmallows but it is not like a "Peep" you get at Easter. It is dipped in caramel and chocolate. Apparently there are two kinds. I have only tasted the one with orange sprinkles like you see here:

All seven us there in July looked at one and said "meh". I bought one to try it. Everyone took a bite off that one Tigger Tail. And everyone said "Wow, that is REALLY good!". We had to get more. :goodvibes

It's not a sweet treat - but if you are a corn dog lover you HAVE to have one at DLR! They are hand dipped fresh and so yummy!!! I couldn't believe it when I got a corn dog in Adventureland in MK and it was just a regular processed one, like you'd buy in a grocery store. :confused3

They are huge, more of a meal than a snack, but you could share one as a snack. Can't wait to get mine next month!!

I was going to ask if it is just a glorified Peep but then...

yeah the corndogs in WDW are nothing to write home about...maybe that will be a good tide me over till our dinner at AG on our WOC night.

I wish they carried Honey Popcorn they way they do in Tokyo Disneyland.
Are the Tigger Tails only available in Critter County or are they available at the other candy shops?

Yes, the Tigger Tails (and the Hunny Pot caramel apples) are only at the bakery in Critter Country! I brought some home for my mom a few weeks ago when my friend and I were visiting, and we looked in all the other bakeries just to see if they sold 'em--and they don't.

I'm also curious about the different Tigger tails! The one I picked up was the sprinkles kind, but I had only seen the smooth fruit-flavored coating ones before (same with the Cheshire tails). The sprinkles are messier, but I'm not a huge fan of the artificial fruit flavoring, so I kinda liked the sprinkles better.

Hi!

If you like brownies, the Triple Chocolate ones in Pooh Corners are the best in the park.

And regarding the corn dogs at the corn dog truck on Main Street...they recently (in 2009) changed both the size and the dogs. Not as show-stopping fabulous as before, but still better than most!!

I LOVE this!

My dad loves treats of all kinds. I definitely want to remember to do this on our next trip!:goodvibes

The Customs/Immigration staff here were quite impressed that the cupcake made it back intact. If only I had bought up a stash of those awesome pumpkin muffins too (though I wasn't too sure if I would get the cupcake back into Aust. anyway).
