Hi, all.

My baby (#5) will be turning ONE next month. I would love to have a Winnie-the-Pooh party for him, but I'm having a hard time with finding inspiration.

It has been many years since any of my children enjoyed Pooh, probably 6 or 7. I've seen the new program w/ Darby, but that's not the vibe I'm looking for. . . more old-school.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm talking food, decorations, favors, games? I'm really at a loss. I've seen some really pretty cakes, but that's about it. I'd like some cute Pooh quotes for invites and banners...but I'm having a hard time finding any.

Anyway, if any of you can help me out....I would appreciate it soooo muuuuch. This will be my last 1st Birthday party and I want to make it extra special.

Thanks!

Hi
Have you thought about pin the tail on the eeyore, or pin the honey pot on Poohs hand? As far as food you can make up anything you want and just say like this is Piglet Pie, Tigger sandwiches, Owl's famous burgers or hot dogs. Eeyore's potatoe salad. Just make up whatever you want. As far as decorations you can print out vintage Pooh pictures and hang them around the walls or wherever you want. I hope this helped princess:Wish your little one has a great B-day.

I always find inspiration at birthdaypartyideas.com They have a search feature, but it is easier to go to kids parties and then look through the list for Pooh. Not sure if they have a whole section for him, but he is wildly popular so I would be willing to bet there is. Have fun!!:goodvibes

We did Winnie the Pooh for our triplets first birthday party. Wal-Mart did a really cute cake that wasn't overly expensive. At that time Party City had all of the first birthday decorations with Winnie the Pooh. You might want to check with them.

I agree with for games doing a pin the tail on the Eeyore.

For party favors, Dollar Tree has the little plastic figurines of the Winnie the Pooh characters, small frisbees, and the slide puzzles.

For invitations you could do:

1. A little cake, a lot of fun,
Someone beary special is turning one.

2. Winnie the Pooh and Friends are Icing the cake
For a celebration we hope you can make.

3. Join Pooh and Friends
And Share in The Fun
***** is Turning One!

For food ideas you could do piglets in a blanket, have gummie bears, teddy grahams, rabbit ice cream balls - make ice cream balls, roll in coconut and then decorate rabbit face with candies or berries.

Good Luck and enjoy your party.

A very long time ago I had a pooh addict. When he was 1 to 2 the only way we could get our now teenage DS to settle was to turn on the many adventures of winnie the pooh for a minimum 1/2 hour before bed. To this day when DH can recite the dialog from memory.

For his second birthday I did a Winnie the pooh theme. I made his cake using the Wilton cake pan that is shaped like Winnie the Pooh with his hunny pot. It's very very cute.

To make the mood more poohish see if you can download some of the songs from the movies and play them in the background while you party.

There was at the time (11 yrs ago :sad2:) winnie the pooh themed party goods available not birthday just pooh. I think they were actually intended for the winnie the pooh baby shower theme that was so popular at the time. Check your local party store they might still make them.
