I know that people have worn ponchos at Universal in the rain, on rides, etc., but are they Universal ponchos that can be bought at the parks?

(Loves to daydream about tag fairies.)

The parks do sell ponchos. I don't know how much they are. We go to the dollar store before we leave and stock up on them. They come in a package of 2 for one dollar at our local Dollar Tree store. I stock up on them. They are so cheap, that we just tear them off and throw them away when we are done with them.

Looks like No11's Mom uses my secret weapon! :teeth:

There was a Dollar Tree across the street from the hotel I stayed at back in December on John Young Parkway. I couldn't believe they were selling TWO for one dollar! Michael and I got caught in a storm once on Citywalk and we ended up buying two for $10! You can never fold those darned things up good enough so it's worth it to have the throwaway ones!

We were going to buy ponchos before we went to the parks but forgot. We bought them at the park for $6.00 each. It was worth it. My husband wouldn't go on the water rides without one and I think it's more fun to ride with someone you know, so we purchased 2 with Woody Woodpecker on them (at USF). We were there in Jan. 2003 when it was pretty cold and the ponchos were a life saver. They kept us 95% dry. If you can remember (unlike us), the dollar store is a better value.

Thank you thank you thank you!!! You know who you are! I'm so happy!

You know...I don't know why we don't do this! We've gotten royally caught in the rain, but we won't buy ponchos since we live 10 minutes away !!! But, those ponchos are so small and easy to fold, and at that price, disposable, I think I'm going to have to pick a few up and keep them in the glove compartment!

I know what you mean about the park ponchos, they just don't fold back down very well, especially when they're wet!
Of course, I'm a BIG fan of paper plates too!!! :jester:

While at HHN last fall on the VIP tour it really started raining hard and our tour guide gave us
"free" ponchos. (LOL, the tour was about $400 for the four of us)

Dont get me wrong I highly recommend the tour, it was great and worth every cent, and the free ponchos were an extra benefit!! Plus I prefer blue over yellow!!
