The poncho's they sell at DL, what color are they and do they have any disney stuff on them, also how much? I have tried to find some at our local walmart, but no luck. Maybe I'll wait and get them there if it rains..... :cool1:

We have never seen any rain when we have visited, apart from the night before we went home in 2002 and there was a thunderstorm!!!
Unlike Orlando when we saw nothing but rain!!!...lol.
Love Ella

I think they are either yellow or blue. Im not sure though. If we go on a day when it might rain, we just bring the ones we purchased in WDW so I dont remember which ones they sell at DL. I do remember though that once it starts raining, you can purchase the ponchos practically everywhere.

Right now they are blue, and I think they run $7 each for the adult sizes. When it rains, like today, you can buy them everywhere.

thanks, although we are from Oregon and are use to rain. Might need them on GRR so we don't get our coats wet.....

abby check out Fred Meyer I got mine in the camping section .. the emergency pochos ;)
Also REI would have them, or any sports/camping store.

If you can live without the Disney logo, I'd buy them elsewhere. I bought 3 clear emergency ponchos from Target's camping section for $0.99 each. They're sold as a 2"x3" package, so I just popped them into my purse and off we went. Enjoy your trip! DU :earboy2:

Dollar Tree sells a two-pack up near their registers. Keep in mind these are the lightest, thinnest, wimpiest of all ponchos, but if you think of them as disposable rather than reusable, they might fit the bill.

I bought a handful for our next trip to WDW and plan to keep one in each fanny pack and the rest in the room. If we need or want them, we can just throw them away after we use them rather than having to worry about packing them back up (they're wet at that point and have somehow expanded to 20 times the size they were when the factory folded them up). Next day, we just reload as necessary. Size-wise, folded they are a little bit thinner than a pack of tissues.

Personally, I have never used a poncho in the "real world" so I'm not big on buying one I can reuse later. But that's just me.

My two cents. . . Happy planning!

While the emergency ponchos are much cheaper they are also not as heavy as the ones they sell. I have a collection of poncho's. Yellow with Mickey from WDW. And Blue with the DL resort logo from DLR.

Our Dollar Store carries them. No cute decals and maybe only a single use .

We were there on New Year's Day, and it rained up until about 5:30 or so. My husband bought a clear poncho with Mickey on the back. The kids' ponchos were blue with the DLR logo.

They may still carry the adult ponchos in blue, but places were selling out because of the rain so maybe they were also selling the clear ones.

I got the cheap thin ones from Wal-mart for $0.97 each for kids sizes (come in clear, blue or yellow), and the adult ones from the dollar store for $1.00. I kept them in my front hoody pocket on the one day it called for rain. It rained at 5pm,so we pulled them out. Was nice to have on. Hubby didn't put his on, and he was wet!
