Hey everyone! I've got a question for you! :surfweb: I'm renting an ECV for the length of our stay at ASM(yes, I finally made up my mind to rent one instead of waiting until we entered the parks each day-I think I made the right choice!:cool1: ) Anyway, has anyone found a rain poncho large enough to cover an ECV and if so where? I didn't know if the normal, cheapy ones you can buy at Walmart or better yet Dollar Tree would be large enough to cover it. :confused3 We are arriving on Father's Day-what better Father's Day present can there be?:thumbsup2 and I know there are bound to be many summer showers and storms while we are there. We live in SC and are used to it!
Thanks so much for your help!!!!!!

You really only need to cover the tiller and yourself. My dad uses two ponchos. A small child-size one for the tiller (from Walmart) and an adult-size clear Disney one for himself.

Just be careful you don't get one too big lest you get it caught in the wheels.

When I rented my scooter from Randy's he suggeted I just get a Disney Shopping Bag and carry it around to cover the tiller. I also had seen suggestions of buying a shower cap at the dollar store to cover it.

Fortunately we had no rain so no problems.

If I'm using an ECV and it starts to rain, I will use a standard-size Disney adult poncho. The back will go over the back of my seat and the front will go over the handlebars, so basically my clothes and the critical parts of the ECV will stay dry.

I also have a cover that will go over the ECV when it is on the lift on the car; that lives inside the car so it is always available.

One of the ECVs I rented from an off-site company had a fabric covering on the seat, back and arms. When it rained I put a poncho (walmart type) on the chair itself. It fit nicely and I didn't worry about a wet seat. I sat on a towel so I wouldn't stick to the plastic and wore a pocho myself. That way the chair was always covered. For short, misting rain I use a shower cap over the controls or use a Disney shopping bag if I'm caught without my usual gear.

I realize this is an older thread so you may have resolved this yourself already. One thing I didn't like about the big rain panchos is their bulk when you are not using them. Wal-mart has thin plastic panchos in the camping section for $1.00. They are about as big as one of those purse sized Kleenex things, only thinner. They are easy to pack along if you need them, but not as cumbersome as those other things.
