PoM luggage drop off with non-Disney?

Posted this question back in March but haven't received an answer. Thought I would try again:
Does the shuttle/taxi drive up to a separate luggage area & drop off luggage and them proceed to drop us off; or do we make 1 stop & porters take our luggage? I am confused about the luggage drop off process.

One stop. Porters are waiting with the carts right where they drop you off. Just got back on Saturday and honestly POM is a very easy port for embarking and debarking. Only thing easier is PC when you use DCL transportation from the resorts (and you don't have to worry about bags at all).
