Sorry I've been MIA again, I've been back in MI throwing a bridal shower for my FSIL, interviewing for a job, and looking for housing (we are moving back to MI in August when DF graduates). The shower went off perfectly (will post pics eventually), I accepted the job today, still haven't found housing but we have some time

So back to the wedding!!!!
So when we went to Disney last month one of the things on my list of what I needed to pick up for the wedding was our toasting flutes. Now I told DF that we needed to get toasting flutes and his response was "Huh?

" And I repeated "We need to pick up some toasting flutes"... DF's reaction "Toasting foods like bread and bagels?????"

Me..."No you idiot- toasting FLUTES for the wedding" DF "Oh ok that makes more sense... what are toasting flutes?"

Boys are seriously clueless, I now call them champagne glasses so he doesn't get confused.
So anyways after we got confirmation that we got our date I was eager to get our champagne glasses and have them engraved. DF thought we should just wait and get them when we came back for the actual wedding but I was just so excited to have our date be official I felt the need to engrave it on something! So we ordered them at the crystal place on Main St in MK and had them sent to the resort. I was a little worried about this but the guy who does the engraving said it would be fine- that they do the resort delivery all the time... bet you can see where this is going. We ordered them on Wednesday and they were supposed to be delivered on Thursday which was perfect bc my parents were coming and they would be able to take them home with them for safe keeping til the wedding (they live in FL).
So Thursday after spending a wonderful day at Epcot with my parents we stopped in the Gift shop at All-Star Movies to pick up the glasses. When the staff member brought them out she said, "I'll have you open it to check your merchandise before you sign"- As I took the box I heard the rattling of broken glass, I smiled and said "That sounds like a good idea". So I opened them and they were shattered beyond recognition. My mom was standing with me and was absolutely horrified- I knew Disney would make it right so I didn't feel the need to freak out. I was only a little upset bc I knew I would have to listen to DF say "told you we should've waited til we cam back for the wedding"- which he of course said

The staff member handled it very well, she assured me it would be fixed. I was mainly worried about the engraving being correct but she said that the keep a file of it at the store and also took detailed instructions that she sent back to the store in case they had any questions. The biggest deal to me was that since my parents were leaving that night I was now going to have to transport the glasses to MN with me, then to MI when we move, and then back to FL
So the next night, Friday night we received a call that the glasses were ready to be picked up

So we arrive and open them and they are in one piece, the engraving looks beautiful-
We had our monogram on the back of the glass (sorry couldn't get the best pic bc of the design on the other side):
And our date engraved on the base (once again not a good pic but you get the idea):
HOWEVER, it was not the right design

We had originally ordered the design with the castle and Walt Disney World engraved underneath. These were the ones with the top of the castle, a classic Mickey, and swirls underneath. (Don't know why I can't get it rotated)
These were my second choice so I was internally debated whether to even say anything. The lady noticed something was wrong and asked so I told her. Once again she was very apologetic and went and got a manager to assist her. I told them I should have listened to DF and waited to get them til we came for the wedding

- I asked them if I could just get my money back and that I would buy them in December. The manager said "I'm sure we can make this right. How about you keep the incorrect glasses free of charge and we will have the correct glasses ready for you tomorrow." BIG problem, we were leaving tomorrow (Saturday). She asked what time we were departing - 3 pm- and she said she was sure they would be there before then so I figured... why not?
Of course the next day when we went to pick up our glasses at 2:50 pm they were not back yet. Once again the staff handled it very well, getting a manager involved right away. They were again very apologetic and promised to make it right, they refunded my money and assured me that they would have the glasses mailed to me and that they would arrive in 7-10 days free of charge. I thought this was above and beyond what they needed to do so I happily agreed.
Well it has been almost a month since we arrived home and there was still no sign of the champagne glasses. I was not worried about it since my bank account was not hurt at all by the ordeal and I had one free set of glasses that I could use. I really liked the other ones better but now these ones had a fun story and they were my second pick anyways- so I was thinking I would maybe just use them. Well... guess what arrived in the mail today? Yep the correct glasses, with the correct engraving, completely intact and beautiful! I will take pics of them and post them soon. So now I have 2 sets of Disney engraved champagne glasses, not totally decided on which ones I will use or what I will do with the extra set but I have a prediction for what will happen though... somehow I will manage to break one from each set and we will end up with a mismatched set
