Hi All,

We are going to WDW at the end of January and staying at the Polynesian for the first time. Can I get any tips or favorites or any information I need to know staying there?

Thanks.

This is the correct website. Steve posts here all the time, and he made this great site. I have used it to help find the longhouse to request, as well as a ton of other stuff to do while at the Poly. Thanks Steve! :earsboy:

Thanks for the site ~ I will be checking it out thoroughly. I've visited every picture on the ALLears net page :) . Originally we were trying to stay at the Contemporary but there were no rooms available so the Poly was actually our second choice. Our son has always wanted to stay at a Monorail resort and since we're not using our DVC points this year (have to save them for a big family vacation later in the year) we decided to try something new. I've always read great things about the Poly and our agent from Small World highly recommended (and a really great rate) we're off to the Poly. I'd still love to hear any of your comments.

Steve has great pictures on his site! You will LOVE the view, smells, and music. You will be spoiled having the monorail right there, but the boat rides to MK are fun too! My kids LOVE the Kiddie Kone from Kona Cafe...makes for a nice late afternoon treat. Make sure you get a little hammock time in!!

the Poly was fantastic and peaceful and wonderful...you get the idea!!

they make leis in the lobby
they say aloha!! my girls loved this!!
the monorail is great
the boat to mk is great
Ohanas is great!!! dances, coconut races, hoola hoops, etc...
Kona has a coffee bar in the mornings til 11 am

we had garden view in fiji and was close IMO to the volcano pool and GCH!!
Also call when you are ready to leave and bell services will come get your luggage

We enjoyed Captain Cooks and did buy a refillable mug

the volcano pool is nice and you can catch Wishes from the beach and watch EWP too!!

my kids loved playing in the sand there...

have fun!

We've stayed at both the Contemporary and the POLY and the POLY wins hands down. I don't think you'll be disappointed with your choice!
