I also thought the Poly was more hectic the times we stopped there. Their bag check seems to take forever also.

More hectic that contemporary when you exit the monorail? That place feels like a crowded mall! It’s exciting for sure but not relaxing. Even checking in for California Grill is a situation.

Poly lobby can be busy but it’s huge and two floors so you’re hardly bumping into people. We’ve spent a good amount of time there and bag check has never taken more than a minute. Trader Sam’s and the pool on the other hand... crowded.

If OP wants quiet I would have to recommend WL.

We are planning a vacation for August, our family is torn between two resorts that we have never stayed in. Polynesian Resort or the Contemporary, which one would you recommend? And why?

Just got back. Did a split stay Poly/BWI. We have also stayed at GF. While they are all nice, if and when we go back, we will do Poly. The theming, convenience and overall vibe is he best IMO.
