Polynesian Villas Opening Day Issues

An overnight water leak has flooded many of the units in the Moorea Longhouse at the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, causing DVC to respond quickly on opening day.

A Disney spokesperson has confirmed that most of the units in the Moorea Longhouse are no longer suitable for guest stays and that it might take a week or longer to clean up and prepare the damaged units for use by Guests.

Disney said guests with reservations at PVB this week may be re-directed to available rooms at other resorts – particularly Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Caribbean Beach Resort. Guests who are impacted by this will be compensated with complementary use of Typhoon Lagoon during the entire length of their stay.

Guests won’t know until they check in if they are impacted.

PVB is not off to a good start…

I completely fell for it. I thought I would be so not happy with having to go to SSR or much worse, CBR. Then I realized it was Easter week, and everything might be full. Still not a thought to April Fools, even after Redbox sent me their April Fools email. So sorry for the people checking in, etc.
