DW and I (1 of us on either side of 50) are heading to the WDW next Sunday (the 27th) . 2 nights at BCV for our 1st taste of DVC - then 5 nights at the Polynesian!!! Can't wait!! Looking for some "special" things that we can do at the Polynesian -- we are active but enjoy unique special places/things. I would love to hear about some of your "magical spots" Thanks

DH and I are around the same age we just returned from the Poly last week. We had a very pleasant dinner at O'hana's with friends we were traveling with. The restaurant looks out over Bay Lake. We were able to watch the fireworks while we enjoyed our dessert and coffee. Our children are both older teens and it was fun to watch the little children while they ran around doing the coconut race and the hula hoop dancing.

There are swings and cabanas on the beach. These are pleasant spots during the day and very romantic at night when you can watch the Electrical Water Pageant and/or the fireworks or simply enjoy the lights of MK, GF, and CR.

I find the entire resort romantic at night. Take a leisurely walk along the walks with the Tiki torches illuminating the beautiful landscaping.

Enjoy a nice dinner at the GF and then take the walk along the lake back to the Polynesian.

Kona Cafe is great for breakfast and dinner.
