Polynesian Summer

ooh the AKL just looks amazing! I am definitely dragging my parents to have a look at it next time we're at WDW, it just looks stunning!! That pool made me really jealous too, I can just imagine how good it felt to be swimming in that water when it was so hot out!! :)

Ps I just saw this on the disney website, I think you'd love it :) (I hope I can post links!)

I love all you AKL pictures. I can't wait to poke around there when we go over to Boma for supper. I plan on going early so I can wander.

About how long was that bus from AKL to AK? It can't be long, but I am doing some planning and working out the timing for our next trip, so I'm wondering.

There are so many cool details at AKL and at AK!! Love the pictures!

I did not know that ingonyama meant lion! It never occurred to me to wonder. Love this tidbit! :goodvibes

Its the quickest bus ride ever! Minutes!

Love your AK pics! Looks like you are off to great day. Did Dart get to pick the first ride? I'm guessing Safari!

Another great update! The Circle of Life is one of my all time favorite songs. I actually tear up when I hear it during Festival of the Lion King.

Those Animal Kingdom maps with the lion on them are GORGEOUS! The lion is one of my favorite animals, I was SO excited when we saw one active and walking around during a safari last April which you probably read in my TR. ;) Oh it was one of the coolest moments of my life!

I love that you pointed out some of the many Discovery Island details, so many people just pass them on by and it's so sad! Can't wait to read about the rest of your AK day.

Okay, Emma, I have lurked on your TR's since my cousin introduced me to them - told me you were her favorite TR writer on all of DIS. :)

Anyway, AK is my absolute favorite park. The last time we were there, we saw Festival of the Lion King about 10 times - it is our FAVORITE!!! The CM's (performers and others) began to recognize us each time we came back. It was great!!! LOL (We always sat in the front because my grandmother is 85 and was on an ECV so she could enjoy the parks - plus I happen to have the cutest kid ever, so they would always remember him!!)

That said, I'm greatly looking forward to the rest of your TR! I hope you went to see the Festival of the Lion King - I always get sad for people that don't mention going in their TR's. LOL Our family REALLY loves it! REALLY REALLY REALLY loves it!! We always make sure it is our LAST Disney experience before leaving the World. It always leaves us in a happy mood!!

Can't wait to read more!!! You are such an amazing writer - it feels like I am experiencing everything right along with you!!
Emily

Wow - you got some really great shots at AK. I never noticed those signs that say "when in florida visit Epcot". Very cool. I will need to look for that on my next visit.

Ahhh - the boneyard. I took my nephew there and he loved it. It is very cool at night, but hard to find the kid you are waiting for.
