I'm going to WDW early May. I haven't been that time of year before and never needed rain coats. I was curious if I get disposable rain coats does it typically just rain one time a day so 1 a day is plenty? I'm thinking it will be too warm to want to carry around something reuseable and no young kids so no need for a stroller/backpack so thinking disposable rain jacket would be easy to throw in a purse.
I agree, the cheap rain ponchos are not very effective in windy rain storms. We were at Disney in May 2009 during what we affectionately call "Monsoon Week". It rained for hours on end every day of our 7-day stay. We started out with the cheap rain ponchos. Those were useless in the heavy driving rain and wind. We bought the Disney ponchos and those were better because they were heavier. But a coat is still better.
