Polynesian Summer

Hey girl, I am finally all caught up on the parts of your TR I missed, and I have to say you are definitely one of my favorite writers here on the DIS. I especially love your pictures, every place you go, you make me feel like I am there. LOVE the resort hopping...you are like us that way. I don't know how people can go to WDW without exploring more resorts, they are all so amazing.

I loved reading about Sanaa. Originally I thought it was a little too adventurous for us, but now I really want to try it. Especially after seeing that African smoothie, mmmmm!!!

Can't wait for more. (:

Ooh I missed some of your updates! All caught up again now though. Luvin all the pics of the resorts but the food pics are making me hungry for disney food :)

Love the update! I haven't been to Kidani yet so your little photo tour was so awesome! I had no idea there was a LIBRARY there... leave it to Disney.

I agree, that does look like the snake. One of my favorite things to do at WDW is look up. There is always some amazing mural or thing hanging or hiding in the corner that is a fantastic detail most people miss.

I love the little note you left. I do that too!

I was *sure* if I looked hard enough I would spot a hidden mickey in that giraffe's coat. I mean, human beings who are at Disney for just a week or so manage to acquire mouse ears on their heads and on their clothing -- surely a giraffe who LIVES here would catch the spirit and develop a mouse pattern on his coat? But alas, it looked very ordinary. lol.

This may be a stretch but.....look along the top of the spine all the way back almost touching the tree trunk. It could look like a hidden Mickey if you look at it long enough!! :rotfl:

I think AKL is so beautiful!! You have some wonderful pictures!! AKL is definitely a perfect example of Disney Imagineering at its best!! Disney does details beautifully.

Kidani looks just lovely! I love the AKL and have stayed there once. Now I might need to make sure I stay in Kidani too!

P.S. The random note is great!

It is a reference. Yay for another Robin hood fan! :)

You are right. That bathroom is amazing. Like, lifestyles of the rich and famous kind of amazing!

And..
I think you totally found the hidden Mickeys on that giraffe. I see two. One right side up, one upside down. Right by the truck of the tree, near his spine.. as the other poster said she did too!

You HAVE to tell me where you found those adorable sandals and that cute outfit! (Actually, ALL of your outfits!) I love them!

I have to tell you that before your TR, I never thought about how extensive the theme for AKL is.. so very impressive. Those lanterns! Man. Very awesome. How could you not want to come home to that? :)

Is the water area for kids the biggest on all the resorts, do you know? Haven't many other pictures of the play areas, and memory kind of fails me. :)

 your sandals!

Nice TR. We have especially loved the extensive photos posted for our viewing enjoyment. Keep it up.

I never tire of looking at Kidani pictures. I absolutely love that resort and I truly enjoy the general viewing areas (more so when its not 110 degrees outside).

Hotter than a pig's eye? :rotfl: You're right - that makes absolutely no sense. But you know when you reach UUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHH, its time for a long indoor break.

You're pictures of the AKL are also beautiful - especially the sunsets! I think I like the AK pool a tad more than the Kidani pool.
